Another great day of work from our YOUTH crew!! They even took a painting intermission to help the decorating committee get the trees down 🎄! Check out this space! It looks fantastic and we had so much fun making it happen! So thankful to the adults and youth who spent their last days of Christmas break serving!

Our crew had an amazing time at SHC! From powerful worship to late-night laughs, it was a weekend packed with memories.

This year’s theme was Identity rooted in Galatians 2:20, reminding us that our true life is found in Christ. We heard incredible messages from speakers from all across WV who challenged us to see ourselves the way God does.

We also played games, hung out, made new friends, and had a blast together. 🙌

We’ve gotta give a huge shout-out to two of our own students who serve on the Youth Ministry Planning Team! They helped plan an amazing event for hundreds of their peers! We’re so proud of you! 👏🔥

Already counting down the days until Junior High Convention. 💙🧡

In youth, we’re learning to take notes during sermons. We know that note taking encourages active listening and retention of the information given.

Last week at youth, each student was given a notebook and pens, highlighters, and post-it notes to help this process. (If your child wasn’t there on Wednesday, we have extras in the youth room!)

The students have been encouraged to bring their Bibles and notebooks to worship in the morning and to take notes during the sermon. We will revisit strategies and learnings from this week on Wednesday!

Help your student to remember their notebooks and Bibles tomorrow morning! ☀️⛪️

God is faithful! We heard this phrase over and over in the midst of devastation and restoration. While we were in Spruce Pines, NC earlier this summer we showed up to work but saw God doing an even bigger work in individuals, communities, churches, and our team!

Our team insulated, built ramps, cleaned up debris, cut brush, organized, power washed, painted, and more. But most importantly we carried the Good News of Jesus with us every step of the way. One community member emphasized the power of people carrying hope as they showed up to help and serve and care!

We are so grateful to be able to be part of this great work that God is doing restoring communities and restoring lives! Thank you for our youth, leaders, and church family for your prayers, financial support, and encouragement as we had the opportunity to GO!
