Word for Today

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: — 2 Corinthians 9:8

We can trust God to meet our needs. He is never short on “all grace” blessings, meaning we cannot exhaust God’s kindness and love for us. Remember to show God’s kindness to others in all that you do.

Live your life honoring God, and He will take care of you. The world thinks of “great gain” in dollar signs, but Christians see it as having a trusting relationship with God. Instead of chasing after material things, seek God’s favor. We brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we will carry nothing out. “LORD, You have been mighty good to me. Thank You. In Jesus' names. Amen.”

Today is the day of God’s tender mercy. The Holy Spirit speaks words of grace, salvation, and warning to the hearts of men. Instead of hardening your heart, surrender to God and your life will be changed forever. No one has the promise of tomorrow.

We did a walkthrough today for the remodeling of the parsonage. Not sure when this much needed project will begin, but it should not be very long. Excited!

Word for Today

Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth. — Psalms 71:9

God’s Word says much about growing old. Your body grows weak and frail, and you aren’t able to function like you did in your younger years. However, God doesn’t abandon you. Your strength is more than the flesh, it comes from above. Rely on God, and He will take care of you. And, praise God, we're going to a place where we'll never grow old!

Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. — 1 Chronicles 16:11

This scripture teaches perseverance. We cannot make it through this world on our own strength. Seeking the LORD is a daily activity. I need Him just as much today as I did yesterday. When (not if) you stumble the LORD is right there to pick you up and carry you if necessary. Pray with me: “LORD, I thank You for Your faithfulness and for all the times You have helped me. I praise You! In Jesus' name. Amen.”
