Galatians 2:20 says, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

How is your reflection?

You say what does that mean?

Well let me tell you this. You profess to be a Christian. You by your own mouth profess to be a child of God. And you tell everyone that you are following Jesus.

Matthew 5:16 says, Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

So having read that and having professed that you are a Christian did you know that everyone around you, everyone you live with, everyone you work with and for that matter everyone in this world has a right to expect each one of us to be different.

Not perfect, but different!

And not just that you are different but that you are spiritually different because of the words from your own mouth that you are a Christian, you are a follower of Jesus.

So yes the world has the right to judge our fruits. And yes the word say that you will know them by their fruit. But even further they also have the right to be disappointed in us when we are not different from this world.

Even the people that don't believe have the right to be disappointed. Why because we are held to a different standard. So yes, even the heathens expect you to hold to the words we say we obey.

So if the people of God would make it a habit of listening, trusting and obeying God there is so much more that would happen.

What?

The churches would actually be full, you would have to search for a seat every time the doors were open because they would see that there is something different and they would want WHO we have and WHAT we have because the lost of this world are searching for the ONE that makes us different.

Now it is not about us but rather it is about Jesus because when we are truly following Jesus, that is what will cause them to want to come and see.

Ephesians 2:1-2 And you he made alive, when you were dead through the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience.

So I ask, do you have a appetite for everything God? If you don't then you may be spiritually dead!

Did you know that if you are spiritually dead that you are spiritually dead to the things of God?

That is the reason you have no appetite for God.

There is no appetite to read the scriptures, there is no appetite for prayer. And because there is no appetite, no hunger, there is no desire to even talk about spiritual things.

Fact is that you can even go to church, because there a thousands of people that belong to a church that are spiritually dead when they get there and leave the same way.

And because of that, they really don't have an appetite for God or to personally fellowship with God either.

One of the best ways to tell is there is no spiritual activity concerning the things of God. You have a bunch of physical activities and social activities but there is little activity for the Kingdom of God.

But it is Jesus that makes us spiritually alive. It is Jesus that gives us the hunger that causes us to be spiritually alive.

In Romans 8 it says 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

So the choice is simple, it is time to Choose Jesus and therefore be brought out of the spiritually dead state that so many are in today.

In this world every single demon and every enemy will try to come against you stand strong.

In this world were the people around you are so hard hearted and hate you because of the Spirit that is in you cling to the cross.

In this world where it seem that chaos, dysfunction and immortality rules the day, there is still hope for the Children of God.

In Isaiah 60:1-2 it says Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness shall cover the earth,
and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you, and His glory will be seen upon you.

So it doesn't matter what this world thinks of you because you are not of this world!! You have set your mind on the things of God and He has not counted you out because He is not done with you yet!!

So even in the darkest moments when all hell is raging around you remember that Gods light is still in you.

We can be confident with all assurance that the Holy Spirit in you is stronger than any trial, hardship or shadow this old world tries to cast over you.

Try as he might the devil has no authority to extinguish the light of God that is in you!

Because of the love of Jesus, Greater is He that is within you than he that is in the world.

2 Corinthians 5:17-19

17 Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.

Repentance is change, changing your mind toward the things of God, and changing your mind about how you see yourself.

It is seeing yourself a sinner and seeing the Holiness and Righteousness of God and finding that one thing your life has been missing.

It is looking at the cross of Christ and truly seeing that He died for you because He loves you and He wants us all to spend eternity with Him.

But it also means a change of life style, a change of living for self to living for the one true God. Because when the Holy Spirit come to reside in your heart your going to change your habits from that moment on.

Your going to change from self reliance to asking God to help you, because you will not be able to change on your own. You do not have the strength to change and make yourself Righteous. It takes the Righteousness of Christ to wash your sins away.

But if you sincerely want the change, if you are truly wanting to follow Jesus as you Lord and Savior then you can ask God to help you and the change will begin to happen.

Slow at first but then right there before your own eyes you will see the sinner you use to be and testify to the GREAT LOVE OF GOD that saved a sinner such as I.

ROMANS 10:13-15

13 For, “every one who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.”

14 But how are men to call upon him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher? 15 And how can men preach unless they are sent?

It is clear in Mark 16:15 that we are all called to spread the gospel. In fact Jesus says to go into all the world and preach the gospel.

If you believe in God with all your heart, and you belive in Jesus with all your heart, and you are willing to submit to the urging of the Holy Spirit, then you should also want to share what it is that God has placed inside you.

To turn to Jesus and to be born again and to be saved and receive your salvation is the greatest gift one man can receive.

But to tell those around you of the One that died for them, the One that can save them is greater still.

Tell someone today about Jesus. Tell someone today before it may be too late.

Are You Disciplined
Matthew 16:22-25

There are a lot of people that will stand flat footed to tell you that they are a Christian and the longer I preach and the longer I follow the Lord I am seeing more and more of those same folks that will refuse to ever be disciplined. Whether disciplining themselves or by someone else, including Jesus.

But the fact is that Christian living will always presuppose Christian conviction.

So, what does that mean?

It means that because I hear your say that you are a Christian that I would be led to think that you also had Christian disciplined. But unfortunately, you can have all the beliefs that you want to have, and they will never come through in your conduct. This is when someone thinks they have real faith but there is nothing but a little belief in the head.
The scripture says that what is in the heart, and we all can look around and see the rest of that scripture by the actions of all those Christians.
When we see people that make these claims to be a Christian, but he does not live the Christian life, his live in not characterized by brokenness, tenderness and love, that makes us remember the words of Jesus that we will know them by there fruits.

The one thing that a lot of people miss is that if you are truly born again then there’s a change and your life become the expression of your faith through the walk and the work that we do for Christ.

It has never been more important than it is now, and it will only get more important by the day that we be effective in our walk, in our life, in our everyday.

The effective Christians of the past all had one thing in common, well two, first was Jesus, and second, they were all disciplined. And if you look at the word disciple and add a (in) in front of the last e then you have the word discipline.

To be a true and effective disciple of Christ we must seek to discipline our lives and to live as Christ did and to even walk as He did. That’s why He says to pick up your cross and follow Him.
The thing that has hindered the church the most is not what we preach or even what we believe because we all believe in the same Jesus, but it is our walk, our conduct, our daily living.

We need to have a revival in the way that the church is living in the world. We need to have a revival of good Christian example, and that will only come from all the professed followers of Christ beginning to practice Christian discipline on themselves.

So, what does this discipline look like, Charles Spurgeon once said, “I bear my witness that I owe more to the fire, the hammer and the file than to any other tool in the Lord’s workshop. He said I sometimes wonder if I even learned anything except through the rod.

Are you willing to have discipline in your walk?
Are you willing to be disciplined in your faith?
Are you willing to destroy that heart of unruly desire?

I ask this because there will come a day that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, and I am here to tell you it will be a lot better on you to learn that now than it will to learn it on that day.
