Today, Wyatt will be laid to rest. If you are able, please stand along West Park Drive, from Bailey-Love to Mt. Hope Cemetary near Victory Noll at approximately 10:45am to honor our Huntington Hero as he battled childhood cancer courageously for six years. He is going to have a procession for the record books as local emergency personnel and 4 Freedom Rider Motorcycle Groups will be in his procession. 💛🦹♂️🙏
Aubrey Wiegmann and I will plan to be stationed at West Park and Cherry Street for quiet prayer and Rosary at 10a as the funeral will be in progress.
It is by God's Divine Providence that we celebrate Wyatt today on the Feast of Blessed Fr. Solanas Casey, who was know for his counsel and curing the sick. This simple priest was stationed at St. Felix Monastery on Flaxmill Road in Huntington from 1946-1956. On September 17th, 2018, Wyatt suffered an almost fatal reaction to a cancer treatment. Two days later, I met April and Wyatt at our church with Fr. Tony. As we all prayed for Wyatt and Father blessed Wyatt with the Annointing of the Sick, he prayer to Blessed Solanas. It was just a few weeks later that Wyatt had no evidence of the tumors that were present. He remained NED (No evidence of disease for 8 months). In that time, Wyatt became a little boy again. He was and still is a miracle!
May the angels of the Lord be with you in heaven.
Eternal rest, grant unto you, oh Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May Wyatt rest in eternal peace. ✝️
