In most ancient cultures, rulers and kings were unapproachable. Even their highest-ranking officials needed to be announced and approved for an audience with the king. One wrong move in the room could cost a person dearly.

But not so with the King of the universe.

In Hebrews 4:14-16, we are reminded that because of Jesus Christ-our great High Priest-we are invited to come boldly before “the throne of grace.” What an astonishing truth! The holy God who rules over heaven and earth does not turn away those who come to Him through His Son. He welcomes us!

This Sunday, we will see how Jesus makes the way open for those weary and struggling, to draw near with confidence-to receive mercy, grace, and help in time of need.

If you are burdened, discouraged, tempted, anxious, or simply in need of fresh encouragement, this passage offers tremendous hope!

Hope to see you! Bring a friend!

We continue our study through the Book of Hebrews with a message from Hebrews 4:1-13 titled, “Entering God’s Rest.”

In this powerful passage, we are reminded that it is possible to hear the truth about God and still never truly enter His rest. Israel heard the promise, yet many fell short because of unbelief. The same warning was given to these Hebrew readers who were hearing the truth about Christ but hesitating to fully trust Him.

And the question before every one of us is not simply, “Do I know about God’s rest?” but, “Have I truly entered it?”

The theme of Book of Hebrews is that Jesus Christ is greater—better than everything that came before under the Old Covenant. The writer continually exalts Christ above every person, system, office, and sacrifice that the Jewish people highly valued.

This Sunday, we’ll study Hebrews 3:1–6 and see that Jesus is greater even than the highly revered Moses; in His Office, in His Work, in His Person. In a world full of distractions, discouragements, and competing voices, Hebrews calls us to “consider Jesus.” There is no one greater, no one more faithful, and no one more worthy of our trust.

This Sunday we continue our journey through the seven churches in the book of revelation 2:12-17, focusing on the church at Pergamum, often called "the Worldly Church."
Pergamum was situated in a city full of cultural pressure, spiritual confusion, and strong influences from the surrounding world. Though Christ commended their faithfulness, He also confronted their compromise. His words to them remind us that the call to remain steadfast has always required courage, conviction, and discernment.
In our day, the church is not exempt from the pressures of the world around us. The Lord's message invites us to examine where our love for Him may be challenged by competing loyalties, and to remember the blessing He promises to those who overcome.
