This Sunday, in “Responding to God’s Discipline,” we’ll consider how we should respond when God is working on us through difficult seasons. Last week in Hebrews 12:1-3, we were reminded that the Christian life is a race—and we are called to run that race with endurance, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus.

But what happens when the race gets difficult? What do we do when God allows hardship, correction, or painful circumstances into our lives?

Hebrews 12:4-11 gives us an important perspective: sometimes what feels like hardship may actually be part of God’s loving discipline.

The writer reminds us that God disciplines His children—not to harm us, but to correct us, train us, and make us more like Christ.

Join us this Sunday at 10:30!!

This past Sunday, from Hebrews 12:1-3, we saw a powerful picture of the Christian life: that of a race.
The writer his readers to: “run with endurance the race that lies before us,” laying aside every weight and fixing our eyes on Jesus.

But running the Christian race isn’t always easy. There are distractions that weigh us down, obstacles that test our endurance, and moments when we may be tempted to slow down—or even stop.

So how do we keep going? Link in the bio to watch the full sermon.

his Sunday, we come to Hebrews 12:1-3 and a powerful picture of the Christian life: a race.

The writer tells us to “run with endurance the race that lies before us,” laying aside every weight and fixing our eyes on Jesus.

So how do we keep going?

This Sunday, in “Running the Race,” we’ll discover three essential ways to run faithfully to the finish: lay aside what hinders us, persevere with endurance, and keep our eyes fixed on Jesus.

This Sunday, we continue our journey through Hebrews 11 with Hebrews 11:30-40 and a powerful theme: “The Courage of Faith.”

We’ll see faith demonstrated through some remarkable examples—people who had the courage to obey, endure, and move forward because they believed God and trusted what He had promised.

From the walls of Jericho falling to those who faced suffering, rejection, and hardship, these men and women didn’t always know how God would fulfill His promises. But they trusted Him enough to act on what He had said.

That’s the courage of faith: believing God’s promises even when we can’t yet see how He will fulfill them.

And perhaps that’s where some of us are today. God may be calling us to trust Him, to step forward, to persevere, or simply to remain faithful when the outcome is still unclear.

This Sunday, we’ll discover what their faith can teach us about having the courage to trust God today.

Join us this Sunday for a strong message on the courage of faith: How it’s demonstrated in our struggles, in our suffering and in our salvation.
