How do we face life’s uncertainties with confidence? Where do we find hope when circumstances seem hopeless? And how can we know that death is not the end?

Jesus answers these questions with a remarkable promise:”I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.” He then follows up with a very personal question: “Do you believe this?

Last Sunday, we discovered why Jesus is not only our hope for eternity, but also our source of strength, peace, and confidence for today.

This Sunday, as we continue our series, "Who Is Jesus?" we'll consider one of the most powerful statements Jesus ever made: "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live." (John 11:25)

Jesus spoke these words to a grieving Martha, whose brother Lazarus had died. And what followed was an extraordinary demonstration of His power over death! But this account isn't just about what Jesus did for Lazarus 2,000 years ago. It's about what He offers you and me today.

In John 10, Jesus makes an extraordinary statement: “I AM the Good Shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” (John 10:11)

What makes Jesus the Good Shepherd? What distinguishes Him from those who merely claim to care for the sheep? And what does it mean to truly belong to His flock?

Last Sunday, as we continue our series, “Who Is Jesus?”, we discovered the depth of our Shepherd’s love, His personal care for those who belong to Him, and the wonderful security we have in His hands.

Jesus doesn’t simply open the door to eternal life. He knows His sheep, calls them His own, and promises that no one can sn**ch them from His hand!

In John 10:1–10, Jesus uses a picture His listeners would have immediately understood—a shepherd, his sheep, and a sheepfold with one entrance.

And then Jesus makes the meaning unmistakable: “I am the door.” Not one door among many. Not merely someone pointing us toward the door. Jesus Himself is the Door—the way into salvation, security, and abundant life.

In a world offering countless paths and voices telling us where to find life, Jesus makes an exclusive and extraordinary claim.
