Someone asked me why I believe in God.

I told him:

You ever been hungry… but still found something to eat?
You ever been hurt… but somehow kept going?
You ever been broke… but still made it through?

Moments like that remind me that life isn’t held together by my strength alone. There have been times when things should have fallen apart, when the odds didn’t look good, when I didn’t see a clear way forward. And yet, somehow, there was provision, there was strength, and there was a way through.

Maybe it showed up as an unexpected opportunity.
Maybe it was the strength to get up one more time.
Maybe it was help that arrived right when it was needed.

Those moments remind me that there is something greater at work—something beyond luck or coincidence. For me, that’s God’s care showing up in everyday life, in quiet ways that keep us moving forward even when circumstances look uncertain.

That’s why I believe. Not just because of what I’ve been told, but because of what I’ve lived through.
