Trust is learned. And once one learns to withhold trust it’s hard to “unlearn.” If people aren’t trustworthy, our sense of security is shaken. It may be a parent who mistreated or didn’t protect you, a spouse that you trusted who let you down, or a close friend who betrayed you.

God wants you to learn to trust in a healthy way, with boundaries. He knows the pain you’ve experienced and the fear you have of ever trust anyone again. That’s no way to live, though. That’s like living in a prison even though you are not behind physical bars.

Trust the Lord today. He is faithful today. Your Jesus, your precious savior, the lover of your soul will heal the parts of you that have trouble trusting.

Lord God,

I say that I trust You, God, but deep down I hold on to the reins. I can’t quite surrender all the control over my life. I try to control what happens around me. I don’t trust others to come through for me. I try to do everything myself, but it’s not working for me! Help me learn to trust so that I can depend on others and upon you, Lord.
In Jesus Name, Amen.

Absolutely nothing!

No matter where you are, where you have been, what you have done or what’s been done to you. No matter the trial, circumstances, past or present sins, failures or hurts. You are covered in His grace. You are loved!

Don’t let the enemy lie to you. None of those things define you. You belong to Jesus. You are a child of the living God - precious, cherished and adored!

Let the Balm of Gilead heal your heart so you can walk in victory anchored in the truth of who you are in Him!

The tears won’t always fall from pain. One day, they’ll fall because God came through.
“re not being wasted.

Every whispered prayer, every tear shed in secret, every ache in your soul, He sees it all.

And in His perfect time, not a moment too soon or too late, He will answer.

“For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it delays, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay.”
Habakkuk 2:3 (NASB)

God doesn’t rush healing, because He’s after wholeness—not just relief. He’s forming strength in you, shaping your faith, and preparing a testimony that will reflect His glory.

A day is coming when you’ll cry again… but not from sorrow.
You’ll weep from the goodness of God.
You’ll stand in awe as the very things you once begged for unfold right in front of you—restoration, healing, breakthrough, peace.
Not because you earned it, but because He is faithful.

Hold on.
The tears of pain will one day be replaced by tears of joy.

Let that hope carry you through today.

He’s not just the God who hears.
He’s the God who answers.

What a beautiful morning. 💙

Thank you to every woman who joined us for Summer Rain. It was such a blessing to gather together for worship, fellowship, encouragement, and testimony of God’s faithfulness.

We pray you left feeling refreshed, seen, and reminded that no matter what season you’re walking through, God is near to the brokenhearted and faithful to complete the work He has begun in you.

God never wastes a wound. What feels shattered today can become sacred tomorrow in the hands of the Healer. Let Him into the broken places. Not to shame or condemn—but to restore, redeem, and renew.

He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He binds up their wounds. No piece is too far gone, no story too messy for His mercy. Let Him get to the root, and you’ll find healing that flows from the inside out.

Jesus is still the Balm of Gilead for hurting hearts and weary souls.

Imagine a sweet child, maybe your own grandchild, a Sunday school student, or the daughter of a friend. Now picture someone screaming into their innocence, “You’re worthless,” “I wish you were never born,” or “You’ll never amount to anything.”
It’s heartbreaking to even imagine—but tragically, it happens every day.
And sometimes… that wounded child grows up to be us.

When a child is raised in abuse, they often carry those unhealed wounds into adulthood, gravitating toward relationships that feel familiar, even if they’re toxic.

Verbal attacks, controlling threats, silent intimidation… all forms of emotional abuse that shatter a person’s sense of safety, identity, and worth.

Sadly, even in Christian circles, emotional pain is often minimized or misunderstood. But God’s Word never overlooks the heart.

“A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” – Proverbs 17:22

Emotional abuse is real, and its impact runs deep. But Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted.

He doesn’t just mend… He restores.
He doesn’t just help us survive… He teaches us to thrive in Him.

If you’re carrying wounds from the past, know this:

You are not alone.
You are not beyond healing.
There is a Savior who sees every scar and longs to heal every wound.

Break the cycle.
Let Jesus restore what others tried to destroy.

Run to the Balm of Gilead—He heals the heart like no one else can.
