For Such A Day As This

There is a maturing in the body of Christ that must take place as we grow in grace. The Lord is not obligated to fulfill our destiny in Him.

As founders of "For Such A Day As This Ministries" John and Jill Kloos come along side the Body of Christ as a father and mother to reveal the kindness of a gracious God who is always good. We can no longer stay infants and expect others to do for us what God gave us to do in Him. In most church cultures we have learned to consume and become spectators rather than to pursue the mandate of putting

on Christ which leads to acts of love in service and giving with a joyful heart. We have pastors, worship leaders, teachers and all kinds of church staff that in some cases can actually stunt our growth because we allow them to do for us what God wants to be for us in intimacy. To be sure, we are given leaders to build us up in the faith to go into the world to demonstrate a powerful gospel. This is rarely seen in America today and it is something the Holy Spirit is about to change in a glorious way. It is the Father’s heart to reveal Christ in us and pour out His Spirit on all flesh and bring us into a revelation of His goodness in all things that we would be transformed by the renewing of our minds and believe God for what He as said about us in scripture. We really are a new creation in Christ and the world is desperate to see the bride of Christ unveiled in His glory. As you go about your days God has given you on this earth, we go in favor to declare His Kingdom is at hand and we learn to do the things Jesus did when He walked the earth. We have to come to Him and have life. We measure our kingdom life not on what we have today but what is available to us in Christ through intimacy with Him. We then can demonstrate His gospel with love. We are pursuing a Kingdom culture that brings honor to His house and all those that call on His name. You were born for such a time as this one. It pleased the creator to place you in this time in His history to release you as a priest unto God to minister to Him in all that you do. This means that heaven is behind you for your families, workplaces, marriages, health, that you are the drink offering the lord is pouring out on the earth to display the love of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit that many might come to Him because of the light that is in you. We have been given the grace to overcome this world in love through the light and life of Christ. This is the abundant glorious life in Him. We learn to do this daily as we encourage one another in the faith, by the testimony of what He has done, is doing and we become His witnesses as we are filled with the Holy Spirit who teaches us all things. We meet to learn how to put on Christ and serve one another in reverence to Him so that we also would be a fragrant offering to Him just like our brothers and sisters that have already gone before us. We learn to become kingdom kids while we walk the earth.

Thanks to all of you who pray for this nation. How to steward the gift that have been given.

The lord is the one who established nations. His wisdom. It’s a person of wisdom that wants to see their country do well but other countries as well. A formula for peace and prosperity.

Hence, the assault on the idea of nations from the god of this age. You’re a nationalist, fascist, if you are for your country. That is only true when one forces their ideals on another culture or nation.

Otherwise, it’s quite sound to be for your country.

In every nation there are those forces at work trying to destroy God’s wisdom in having a nation. In the USA, its legacy media, some universities, some politicians, some elites, bringing unrest, influencing and bringing out the worst in people.

My country is clearly divided. I think all the nations have a lot of division going on as the god of this age works his plan of destruction through deceit.

People of faith do pray for their nation. Interceding, asking for revelation and mercy. Exposing the darkness and nets of deceit that are over the nations.

Was thinking with Him this morning about all of this. People of faith clearly see the assault and the gains over this nation by the god of this age.

Just keeping the nations head above water would seem like a win. A respite from the decline would bring some much-needed relief for this country and many others.

Been introduced to this idea by the Spirit. Sure, I am a bit behind in this. Many of you are already there. Much of my past intercession and energy in prayer through faith has been in response to what the evil one is doing. More of a defensive posture.

He changed that awhile ago where instead of watching the decline of a nation trying to slow that process down is to get His wisdom and heart for the nations. Speaking and contending for that instead. The nations are His idea after all.

Warning His idea and what the prevailing cultural idea of a nation is not my idea and most likely not yours. It so much better.

His ideas have the effect of taking chaos and bringing order. Whereby mans ideas break down (entropy) leading to chaos.

Whatever state your nation is in now, He has a better idea of it. He wants us to participate. He doesn’t force His ideas on anyone.

World needs some peace from His wisdom, knowledge and understanding right now.

Some are listening to Him. That is encouraging. He never needs a majority. Just a few with their hearts tuned into Him.

That long night where morning seems far off.

Circumstances, outlook, perspective keeps you in the long night wondering if morning will come again. It’s been hard in so many ways.

Unless one walks in your shoes they really can’t know. And many keep the long dark night to themselves. For all kinds of reasons.

You have heard that Jesus is the bright and morning star. And how we long for Him to shine on us, to perceive the new morning, a promise of spring, leading us out of all oppression and fear.

You can never have to many friends that will walk with you on this path until you see the dawning of that new day as you arise because His glory is shinning on you. I love those days and seeing others come into their own day of rest in Christ.

As you emerge from that night of many trials the countenance of His grace and mercy shine in you and on you. Your new nature reflecting His glory.

I never get tired of witnessing that. His compassion for us is so uplifting to my undoing where my only response is awe for Him. His Kindness and goodness to be tasted by all who would call on His name.

He deals with the chaos in our lives in the very same way He did in creation. On each day of creation, He started His work in the evening dealing with the chaos throughout the night and bringing order in the morning of each new day.

And in Christ He calls you good. He already had His choice to have none of you, not create or think of you. He opted to have all of you in your new nature. Filled with His light and righteousness. Such is His countenance that shines on you.

This puts us in His untraceable, unsearchable riches of His beloved Son. The origin of His love for us a mystery but revealing His goodness that still escapes us all.

Yes, these long-lasting nights that we can go through are so unpleasant. But even in that chaos He is there with us subjecting all things to His goodness bringing His light in the darkness.

Morning has come, is coming and will come for all whose hope is in Christ. Holy Spirit speaks to us in the night even through the chaos you can hear His voice. And are comforted knowing that a day is dawning for you.

May this day be today for you.

Enjoying the moment, the work of your hands is such a sound way to keep yourself grounded in the goodness of life. It delights His heart as well.

See people build things, artist create things, parents putting their children first, friendships developed that are meaningful. It’s a way in which its possible to reflect His image in you. Even a form of worship.

Created in His image has always been a verb for us not a noun.

Want to acknowledge and compliment so many of you that understand the riches we have in the now moments. To enjoy the gift of life.

Ferris Buehler was right. “Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

To all you sages, where wisdom has found you, you are blessed because you know the moments and how rich they really are. He satisfies us with the incredible privilege of life.

It can be abundant when one values the moments and the treasures found therein.

The term ‘Church” when you hear that word what comes to your mind?

Past the building, or wherever people gather, past the doctrines, teachings, activities this term ‘Church’ is the focus for hyper criticism for humanist and those that have created their own religion.

‘Church’ is a term progressives, humanist, the left use as pejorative. They propose and believe many of the ills in society and culture are because of this organization called the Church.

In USA culture, one party has de-platformed ‘God’ and church out of their charter of political beliefs.

The ‘Church’ has become a spectacular straw man for galvanizing humanist and the like to cancel, ridicule, censor dismiss, anyone who would dare align themselves with this structure called the ‘Church’.

When you think of centrality or a representative of the ‘Church’ as an organization would be the Roman Catholic Church. They have been around quite a while. With 30,000 or so denominations of the protestant Church you would be hard pressed to find anyone who could speak for this grouping.

Lots of acrimony right now, directed at the ‘Church’ and those that attend. But the target of those acrimonious arrows is so broad at best it hits their straw man. So many stories of how one was wounded in the ‘Church’.

Or how free they have become since deconstruction. So free they walk away from the person who personifies freedom, the Christ. Ironically the very one who sets captives free.

Everyone that has spent some time in this structure we call the ‘Church’ however it is organized will eventually have a story or two of how the ‘Church’ hurt them. Why they left. And now have become a chief critic.

It's not the ‘Church’ from their experience that hurt them but the people in the ‘Church’ where they got wounded and probably delivered their share of wounding with their words and actions.

They hold the standard of the ‘Church’ and the people that are in it to the standard of Christ.

Quite the tall order. Christ. Who can live up to that standard and does live up to the Christ in them. The answer to that is the few that have been transformed into their new nature. Most of us are still in the way, truth and life of that.

And if you believe the ‘Church’ is filled with healthy people that are all reflecting His image in them you will be disappointed 100% of the time. But to walk with people who are on that journey is beautiful and life giving.

Some of the biggest critics of the ‘Church’ today are those that were wounded by the people in it. They feel betrayed, lied to, fooled, manipulated and so forth. Most likely they never encountered the Christ and met Him for themselves.

Some become very outspoken in their critique of the ‘Church’. Creating their own religion, faith system, that has its foundation in their imaginations. Their essence evolving, free flowing, created by their own image and what suits them at the moment.

People are absolutely free to believe whatever they like. No thought police. Want them to be at peace and go their way as they see fit. Enjoying the life He has given them whether they acknowledge Him or not.

However, when they become the assault troops for the god of this age to try and discourage, disparage people of faith and His gospel, that’s when it becomes okay to hold them to the same standard they hold people of faith too.

Many have made themselves the enemy of Christ and His gospel. Yet, Jesus has no enemies even if they try and make Him one. He doesn't view them as His enemy.

The word ‘Church’ has such a broad band to it. To make it a disparaging term is the propaganda of the god of this age.

Church is all those that are in Christ. With all their different nuances. Where He is the head of His bride and we make up the many parts. No one part represents Him in His entirety.

The ‘Church’ is a work in progress. Why we need the Holy Spirit. To unveil Christ in us.

A place without time. Eternity.

Our Father who knows everything about you, even how you think, doesn’t just like you but loves you. So much so, eternity is just the right place to experience that love. Unceasing.

We often don’t grasp the upside of Him knowing us and loving us. There are many that don’t like who they are right now. Let alone like others. Taking that a notch up to love and you have something very difficult to grasp.

The god of this age is very successful at getting us to reject ourselves. Not liking others and rejecting them is child’s play for him. The movement of intersectionality, division by every possible category fuel contempt that humankind has for each other.

It is impossible to love our enemies our neighbors as He commanded in our old nature. It is rarely seen.

The upside of Him knowing us is for encouragement and the wonder of what we are becoming in Christ. He is 100% aware of our current condition. He sees us in eternity in our completely transformed condition in Christ.

There are things about us that He knows and loves that haven’t even crossed our imaginations. We don’t grasp them yet. But He knows them and has taken a hold of us and sees us in the light of His Son.

All the baggage of trauma, rejection, anger, life experiences that have left a negative taste in one’s palate exist in our old nature, not found in our new nature. Transformation that we can experience in the here and now in Christ give us a taste of new nature living and eternity.

Discovering what He knows about us is one of His greatest joys to impart. He certainly does not see us as we see ourselves. His version of us is ever so much better.

Holy Spirit delights in revealing Christ in you leading you into His kingdom. Feel like Holy Spirit is saying to the Church He wants us to have this experience. More than just intellectual ascent.

This eternal love of His needs to be explored now, today by His kids. Our new nature awaits discovery. He leads us into His paths of righteousness.

Works best when you don’t ‘feel’ like it

Gratitude, being thankful, prayer, worship in hardship is such a fragrant offering to Him.

I take such great encouragement when those that have left Christ or never knew Him mock prayer and intimacy with God. Using the woke phrase of ‘thoughts and prayers’.

It tells me unequivocally that the god of this age hates those things. Because of their effectiveness at hindering his plans and work.

We get upgraded and blessed by Him every time you’re mocked, slandered on account of Him. It’s awesome.

As a testimony to this, my authority in intercession, prayer, engaging the unseen realm has benefited from the many times I have been ridiculed for my faith. I get to see all kinds of His grace touch people.

There are days when life is heavy, difficult, we all have them. Not allowing your circumstances and feelings to dictate your actions in engaging Him will radically change your outlook and intimacy with Him.

It is always in the trials He grows the most beautiful things in you. Adversity, difficulties, circumstances are how we overcome this world in Him.

There is always a promotion, upgrade, revelation for you when you find yourself in these life moments. Don’t waste them.

“Made in the Image of God”

Yet with the ability and contradiction of reflecting and imaging a different father, the father of lies.

This idea about being made in His image has given rise to many thinking they are the I AM. Enlightened through their imaginations to become deity of a sort, there essence evolved.

So many permeations of this idea, one could not keep track. Subject to no truth, imagination is the limit.

When you think of being “made in the image of God” think of it as a verb not a noun. This will help you immensely in understanding this idea. You have the ability to will and act. Why He trusted us in the beginning to make the rest of the earth like Eden.

Allow me to take a sharp turn here. By now all of you have been exposed to those that image the father of lies. You have been scammed, lied too, deceived, seeing trust betrayed, experienced narcissism, people that intimidate through bold face lying, rehearsed and practiced.

You have lost resources, time, been betrayed in relationships, told you are going to be promoted, get the job, gain some kind of favor only to see it evaporate, a rug pull.

These are people reflecting and imaging the father of lies. It is so common now that when someone images God by their actions its almost shocking.

This father of lies can’t do truth. It’s not in him. He literally is incapable of truth. Billions of human beings reflect him more than they image Yahweh. There is no middle ground or passive stance, you image the Father of lights or you image the father of lies.

Some can image the father of lies and appear good, as an angel of light. How many of us are deceived. You just want to believe the best in a person, or institution for that matter. Institutions reflect the father of lies more so than Yahweh.

By the way, the goal is not to ‘Christianize’ institutions. It is about having honor, integrity, to serve rather than take. To be a blessing not a curse over the land.

So do we go around not trusting anyone, becoming the ultimate cynic. Is it possible to be shrewd as serpents and gentle as doves? Where the expression ‘trust but verify’ became so popular.

He wants people free. His gospel is 100% about setting people free. With power to image Yahweh, instead of the father of lies. He knows our condition. His compassion has given us Christ.

Discernment is a gift He has given to His kids. It’s our warning mechanism. A radar, early detection system. Some might know this as intuition.

Not for condemnation, but for restoration, reconciliation and full redemption to the abundant life in Christ. Time for believers to jettison their naivety. With His love to see people set free. It’s done through action, not words.

Somehow, He managed to set us free, caused us to know His goodness. If He did it for us, He will do it for all.

He doesn’t want us to suffer loss anymore from those that image the father of lies. The locust has done enough harm. He promises to restore what the locust have eaten. Step into that promise, let Him heal your heart and thrive in His goodness.

It is possible but very difficult to think for yourself let alone with the mind of Christ.

One might believe they have the ability the think outside the box as it were. And that is quite remarkable if true. It is a rare person that even has the capacity to think outside the bounds of their culture.

We all process inside our culture. Built in bias.

Elites of all kinds try and manipulate how one thinks, by thinking for you. Manipulation is a form of sorcery or witchcraft if you will. Holy Spirit doesn’t do sorcery. He does tell you the truth regardless of the offense you might take.

Cynicism, mockery, spite, ridicule are not free forms of thinking. Just forms of bo***ge and captivity. Regardless of how passionate one is in their discourse.

Lots of examples of this are going on right now. Maybe you watched some of the Presidential debate. Maybe you think your side won and that is going to change the outcome.

What you may have missed is how corrupt our legacy media really is. Still trying to manipulate outcomes and influence an election.

Sometimes I wonder if these people even stop for a minute to think where people are economically as if they can be gaslit out of their own experiences. Maybe they can.

Or a cultural pop star, Hollywood can endorse a candidate, and millions will stop thinking for themselves because they want to identify with their idol. Maybe.

Or a pope that comes out and says to millions and millions of Catholics that all religions lead to God. It is a god of this age type idea. Sounds pleasing to the ears. Can millions of people stop thinking for themselves and follow the leadership of a pope. Maybe.

Manipulating and controlling information is a thing for the god of this age. Censorship, access, narratives, influence, group think is how this being still manipulates the globe keeping many is distress. It is impossible for this fallen being to tell the truth. It’s not in him. Just as God can’t lie. It’s not in Him.

Readily admit I am bias to my culture and experiences. Thinking outside that box is very difficult if not impossible. Started talking to Him about this form of captivity that all are under. And I wanted a way out.

He reminded me right away that He is the Way, Truth and Life. That the culture He has given us is the Kingdom within. Accessed by the indwelling of Holy Spirit. Knowing this as truth intellectually isn’t enough to get you out of captivity.

He must have permission from you to deal with your bias, prejudices, way of thinking. He is going to put that kind of thinking to death. Where the mind of Christ thinking comes in. It is very uncomfortable to take ideas you hold to be true only to have Him show you they aren’t.

Holy Spirit, Jesus and the Father are the only ones qualified to do deconstruction that is life giving. The kind of deconstruction that sets you free to live in His kingdom under the power of His gospel.

Giving up paradigm thoughts and beliefs when they were not of Him is a freeing experience. I have a ways to go. But I do enjoy ridding myself with Him of the baggage that I was carrying.

Major hint. You are not doing deconstruction with Him if you are led away from the supremacy of Christ and His gospel. And may have fallen away from the Christ. Only to put on another cloak of captivity.

Thinking free in found in Him. You have access to the mind of Christ.

The earth is filled with His glory.

People love going out in nature. Finding that quiet restful place that revives the soul. Where you feel closest to Him.

Cultivating those places in urban areas, with all the distractions of life, is a worthwhile pursuit. Time spent with Him and pursuing Him is never wasted. Why we have peace in this place of angst and turmoil.

This picture was captured in 2019 by an Italian photographer. Worth seeing again. Something taking place in nature reminding us of His presence.

Familiar, Overused, Misunderstood, But Spectacular in Every Way.

To be born from above, by Holy Spirit. A work of the Holy Spirit. No human effort can do it. Let alone comprehend what Holy Spirit has done.

A rebirth of a dead soul regenerated to start over (born again) being anew in a nature that is of the Spirit. Allowing your spirit to live with authority over your soul. His way for His kids.

There is no ritual, prayer, activity on anyone’s part that can make this happen. It’s not a work of the flesh. Sometimes people are led into a new believer’s prayer, that isn’t being born again.

Jesus so clearly explains this. “That which is born of flesh is flesh”, “and that which is born of Spirit is spirit.”

Don’t feel bad that this is a concept hard to grasp. Jesus is explaining this to Nicodemus, a teacher of Israel. And he isn’t getting it. He is trying to understand how to get born again, how can one go back into the womb.

Been born of water and Spirit has nothing to do with baptism or any duality or connection between water baptism, being born from water (amniotic fluid in the womb) and then some form of repentance, spiritual.

The upper room where the disciples experienced regeneration, dead souls, to their new nature life in Christ by being born of the Spirit from above. Pentecost. They came out of that encounter transformed full of grace and His presence.

Water as Nicodemus later came to realize is symbolic of Holy Spirit. He knew the OT passages that talked about water and the significance of the presence of water (Holy Spirit) in many passages.

Such as, “I will pour out water on the thirsty land and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring.” (Isa44:3) The Holy Spirit is frequently depicted in the Old Testament as being poured out like water.

My favorite OT expression of being born again is this one: (water reference)

“I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.” (Ezk 35:26-27)

The Kingdom of God can’t be seen or entered into without being born from above, by the Holy Spirit. Without this regeneration and rebirth in the Holy Spirit we are left with empty religion, a powerless gospel and performance-based orphans clamoring for position. We remain prodigals.

But being born from above gives us a new nature not to go back into captivity but to live in resurrection life filled with His light and presence. A powerful gospel, a kingdom within given to you. Knowing that you are alive in Christ forever, there is no more death for you.

If you have not experienced being born from above of water and the Spirit, ask Him and wait just like they did at Pentecost. Get others to join you in prayer. He will come to the willing heart every time.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I said to you, You must be born again.” (John 3:5–7)

This is the biblical boarder of Israel. The land that God gave to Abraham and his descendants.

It is the promised land.

Modern day Israel looks nothing like this. If Israel were to exert this claim today it would probably start WW 3. Drawing the nations into this conflict. Yahweh decrees and the god of this age says not without a fight.

Israel was dispersed out of the promised land for disobedience to Yahweh. Scattered throughout the nations. Returning in part in 1949. Ishmael and Isaac have been in conflict since their birth. Two nations from Sarah, Hagar and Abraham.

So much of the world conflict starts in this region when you really stop and think about it. Granted there have been many nations rising up throughout history trying to expand and colonize.

Persians, Assyrians, Egyptians, Romans, Greeks, Ottomans, Mongolians, French, English all had empires at one time in history.
Causing lots of war and havoc in their day. Some would argue they brought civilization to the nations.

But it always comes back to this place. Isaac and Ishmael. They called this land in ancient Mesopotamia, The Levant. Well known, conquered by many at different times.

I would suspect that God had something in mind we He determined the boarders of Israel. Most likely to bless all the nations through this one. Disobedience and Idolatry by Israel shifted in time that plan. We have had conflict ever since.

Many argue and believe in the Church that Israel has been disinherited by God and no longer has a place. Being replaced by the Church. Replacement theology.

Hence being anti-Semitic is okay. Some would even argue that those in Israel are not even historical Jews. But another people all together.

The Jews have not been in their promised land for thousands of years now. God remembers His promises. He isn’t like us. He remembers Eden and His purpose for mankind.

He knows Abraham and remembers every promise He gave to Him. And He is not slow to fulfill His promises as mankind understands that term.

It is a prideful Church that thinks God is done with Israel. Arrogant as well. Jesus was sent to the Jews and proclaimed His gospel to the Jewish nation. He didn’t go to the gentile nations. His disciples did. Israel was supposed to be priest unto all the nations revealing Yahweh. The disciples (Jewish) started this.

Gentiles, all non-Jewish people, that believe are grafted into Abrahams family by grace and grace alone. The gospel first given to the Jews then the other nations. He isn’t done with the Jewish people by a long shot. We see the Jewish nation in the book of revelation standing against the god of this age.

It is not by force that Israel will see the promises of God. But by His Spirit. As Israel comes to recognize their Messiah that He already came, He will return their portion once again. I have always looked at the Jewish people as my elders, first fruits of His gospel. Even though today most don’t know Him or recognize Him.

I am watching and praying for Abrahams natural sons and daughters to hear the call of God upon their lives through the Messiah, the Christ, Son of the Living God. That is when things will really get shaken in this world.

Keep your eyes on Israel. For the purposes of seeing the Jews come into their inheritance through the Messiah that has already come and will come again.
