This weekend marks our first drive in support of Waymakers, the youth shelter near the library in Huntington Beach. We will be accepting your donations of cleaning supplies, PT and TP, laundry detergent, paper plates and disposable utensils, along with playing cards, journals, sketch pads and bracelet-making kits. Also appreciated are gift cards for Barnes & Noble, Michaels, Target, Amazon, Albertson’s, Stater Bros. See you Saturday and Sunday after Masses. (Note: Sunday 5:00 Mass collection may be canceled due to the Corpus Christi procession.)

This weekend Justice & Peace will be at all masses to receive your donations for our annual Mother/Child Shower. The gifts you give will provide Mother’s Day gifts for u***d teens and women and their babies. Personal hygiene items (lotions, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, bath towels, nail care kits) as well as preemie, newborn and infant clothes are requested. Craft supplies, board games, playing cards, scrapbooking supplies, Dreft detergent are also appreciated. Detailed lists for the shelters, as well as info about each can be found online in the church bulletins for April 5,12 and 19.
Gift cards for Target, Amazon and Walmart, and of course, cash and checks are also welcome! Thanks for your consideration!! The folks picking up donations on Monday morning are always so appreciative of St. Bonaventure’s generous giving! Justice & Peace is grateful for your annual gifts!!

It’s here! Snuggle Day Weekend! Rain or shine we will be ready to accept your donations of cozy, soft items for children in foster care at all masses!!

Snuggle up with us next weekend! Our drive to provide cozy items for children in foster care is almost here! Your gifts of new PJs, socks, sweatsuits, hoodies, stuffed animals, and blankets will be passed on for social workers to give the kiddos on their caseload, from newborn to 18-year olds. Brighten a child’s Christmas with a soft, cuddly present! See you on the 15th and 16th!

In case you missed it in the bulletin, the Backpack Drive for Colette’s Children’s Home was a huge success! 260 backpacks, 80 bags of school supplies, and $6,000 in gift cards, checks and cash for Back to School clothes! You helped put smiles on the faces of a lot of kids and moms who are facing difficult times. Thank you for your generous hearts from the bottom of ours!!!
