Dear Citylights Family,
Please take some time to thoughtfully listen to the following podcast episode. It contains a reading of Dr. Martin Luther King's "Letter from a Birmingham Jail."
This letter is very timely for us as Christians. It was this letter that directly led to a gigantic breakthrough in the Civic Rights Movement.
This letter was written to pastors and churches who stood by and did nothing. This letter moved white Christian pastors in Birmingham, Alabama to begin to march and protest with Dr. King. It was only when the Church united together against injustice that the city (and the world) begin to take notice and truly listen.
Please listen to this as a sermon from a pastor to challenge fellow Christians to follow and serve God. I love to hear your thoughts.
