In our research we have found that there are certain parts of worship that we do not want to change. Identifying those parts that are not going to change allow us the freedom to dream about what we could change to incorporate children more fully into the body of Christ.

One of the strongest themes in the research was this:

Churches are inviting children into the most sacred moments of worship.

Children are:
• Receiving and serving Communion
• Pouring baptismal water
• Leading prayers
• Participating in Ash Wednesday worship

This communicates something powerful:

Children don't have to wait until they're older to encounter God's grace.

They are already members of Christ's body.
