We have been holding listening sessions this year. Over the next few weeks we are excited to share with you what we have been learning and trends in the data so far. This information will inform our work moving forward as we nurture children in worship and prayer. Join us on this journey to include children more fully in our worship.

Let's Get Practical!

Join Workshop Leader, Rev. Kathy Pittenger, as we explore creating worship spaces that reflect the value that children belong in worship. This workshop explores how the design and use of space, in a variety of worship settings, can invite children into meaningful participation while enriching worship for the whole community. Participants will discover practical and adaptable ideas for creating worship spaces that make room for wonder, movement, and intergenerational belonging.

Rev. Kathy Pittenger is an ordained deacon and currently serves as Associate Director of Faith Formation and Leadership Development for the Michigan Conference of The United Methodist Church. Her work centers on equipping leaders, supporting lifelong faith formation, and cultivating practices that help churches and leaders adapt with clarity, care, and hope.

She holds a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Ministries from Malone University. Kathy and her husband, Rich, have two sons, Eli and Micah, and one cat, Solo. They enjoy spending time traveling, playing video games, and building Lego.
