“And do everything with love.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭16‬:‭14‬ ‭NLT‬‬
This passage of scripture lives in every part of our beloved sister Lady Christie Neal. Thank you for sharing and serving us with love. May the Lord continue to bless and strengthen you.

From Obligation to Belonging

“Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively. If one of them falls down, the other can help him up. But if someone is alone and falls, it’s just too bad, because there is no one to help him.”
-- Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 (GNT)

Some journeys were never meant to be walked alone.

“Put me like a seal on your heart, like a seal on your arm. Love is as strong as death; passion is as strong as the grave. Love burns like a blazing fire, like a mighty flame. Water cannot put out this fire; floods cannot drown it. If a man tried to buy love with all his wealth, his offer would be utterly scorned.” Song of Songs 8:6–7 GNT

❤ Love that is rooted in God is strong, steady, and enduring—able to hold two hearts together through every season. Today we honor the sacred bond God has placed between husbands and wives. ❤

With hearts full of joy and gratitude, we share that our beloved sister, Christie Neal and her husband, the Reverend Anthony E. Neal have accepted a new pastoral assignment and will soon be moving from Charlotte to Detroit, Michigan.

While we rejoice at what God is doing next in their lives, we cannot help but acknowledge how deeply they will be missed here. Christie has been a grounding presence among the UMBA Ministers' Wives and Widows Auxiliary – serving as active member, Immediate Past President, and friend - consistently offering wisdom, steadiness and a quiet strength that has blessed us more than words can express.

They have served faithfully, loved genuinely, and led with integrity, and we are confident that the same gifts will continue to flourish in this new season. The people they are being sent to are truly receiving a blessing!

Though distance may separate us, they will forever remain in our hearts and in our prayers. We thank God for the time we’ve shared, for the seeds they planted here, and for the beautiful work that will continue through them in Detroit and beyond.

We send you both with our love, our support, and our very best wishes – praying God‘s favor and strength. Enjoy your new church, your new home, and every life you will touch along the way

Always loved. Always family. Always covered in prayer!

“Be patient, then, my friends, until the Lord comes. Think of the farmer who waits patiently for the spring and summer rains to make his valuable crops grow.” — James 5:7 (GNT)

Waiting is not wasted time when God is involved. Just as a farmer cannot rush the rain, we cannot rush God’s work in us. What looks like delay is often preparation. God is tending roots you cannot yet see, strengthening what will soon bear fruit. Patience is not passive—it is trust in motion. You are not behind, and you are not forgotten. God is shaping something steady and life-giving in you—even in seasons that feel quiet or unfinished.

Prayer
Gracious God, help me to wait with faith and not frustration. Teach me to trust Your timing, even when I cannot see the outcome. Strengthen my heart as You prepare what is next. Amen.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way.”— Proverbs 3:5–6 GNT

Trusting God does not mean we stop thinking or planning—it means we stop placing final authority in our own understanding. God sees what we cannot see, connects what feels scattered, and guides us with wisdom shaped by love. When we acknowledge God in every step, even uncertain ones become purposeful.

Thought for Today
Where I release control, God provides direction. I don’t have to see the whole path—only take the next faithful step.

Scripture (GNT):
“I depend on God alone; I put my hope in him.
He alone protects and saves me; he is my defender, and I shall never be defeated. My salvation and honor depend on God; he is my strong protector; he is my shelter. Trust in God at all times, my people. Tell him all your troubles, for he is our refuge.”
— Psalm 62:5–8 (GNT)

Thought for Today:
This psalm gently calls us back to center. When voices are loud and responsibilities are heavy, God invites us to rest our weight on Him alone. Not partial trust. Not borrowed strength. Quiet, steady dependence. Today, let your heart exhale—God is strong enough to hold everything you bring to Him. 💛

Prayer for Empowerment
SHARE
Father, I express my heartfelt gratitude for this day and for the boundless opportunities that lie before me.
As we journey through December, I proclaim swift and tangible progress in every area of my life, releasing breakthroughs in all aspects that have been waiting for fulfillment.
Your Word reminds me in Amos 9:13 that “the plowman will overtake the reaper… blessings upon blessings.”
God, I claim this promise as my reality in these final days of the year.
Accelerate every delayed endeavor.
Harmonize all that has been disjointed.
Release every obstacle, and let answers, clarity, and provision flow freely. In Jesus’ name, amen.
