Two great days changed everything. The first: Adam and Eve's fall plunged our world into darkness and death. The second: God made good on His promise—Jesus took on flesh to fight for us.

In the wilderness, Satan tempted Jesus to distrust God, presume on His relationship with the Father, and bow to evil. But Jesus didn't fight this battle to show us "how to do better." He fought because we can't. When we look in the mirror and see our failures, our broken attempts to resist temptation, Jesus steps in as our Champion. He places us behind Him and says, "I will fight for you."

Your relationship with God isn't based on how well you battle sin—it's based on the One who never loses. Jesus went to the cross not as a how-to manual, but as your Rescuer. That's the Champion you need.
