Welcome Home, Pastor Mark A. Evans & First Lady Tamara Evans!

With joy, the Jonahville AME Zion Church family celebrates the reappointment of our Pastor, Rev. Mark A. Evans, and First Lady Tamara Evans to serve Jonahville AME Zion Church for the 2026–2027 conference year.

At the Western North Carolina Annual Conference, Bishop Starnes once again assigned Pastor Evans to lead the Jonahville congregation as we continue the work God has called us to do in this season of ministry.

We thank God for the faithful vision, and love that Pastor Evans and First Lady Evans have poured into this church family.

Their commitment to preaching the Gospel, serving God's people, and advancing the Kingdom has been a tremendous blessing to our congregation and community.

As they return to this assignment, we look forward with expectation to all that God will do through their leadership in the coming year.
