Picked and packed the last of the spring peas. There weren't enough for an Angels & Sparrows run, so we put them out on the FREE PRODUCE stand.

We will turn the pea bed over to tomatoes tomorrow. Some of the seedlings we've been prepping already have tiny tomatoes on them. These will be the cherry variety.

The garden team picked 10 bags of lettuce, six bags of spinach, two tubs of radishes and some beets for the Hope Corner Food Pantry. Many of tje larger beets had been gnawed on by critters and had to be composted. The peas are still a week away, and the turnips at least a week, maybe two.

The garden team has been out planting and weeding. The corn and beans are in the ground. The peppers and tomatoes are in a "holding" area at the garden and will be planted next week.

Nothing formal, but we'll be picking for Hope Corner next Wednesday evening at 5 PM. C'mon out if you are interested in helping. We anticipate having spinach, turnips, beets, radishes, and lettuce ready to go.

Looking for an easy, inexpensive way to support our garden ministry? We go through these moisture control produce bags by the dozen during the growing season. They are the primary way we package leafy vegetables for the pantry. A box of 15 costs just $1.25 at Dollar Tree. Bring them to church any Sunday.
