Please join us on Memorial Day for the service to honor those who have served our country prior to their death. The service starts at 10:30. Following the service we will be serving our Roast Beef Dinner starting at 11:30. All proceeds benefit the Memorial Association.

There will be a meeting at the Oakdale United Methodist Church, Tuesday Evening April 12th at 6:30 pm. to discuss the Memorial Day Celebration and dinner. Everyone who either owns a plot, or has a family member buried in the cemetery is automatically a member of the association and welcome to attend these meetings. Please come out and support the association!!!

The Association just completed their planning meeting for the Annual Memorial Day Service and Roast Beef Dinner. The Service will start at the usual time, 10:30 a.m., with the Raising of the US Flag to half-staff, followed by the Rifle Team Salute and playing of Taps. A short worship service will follow, with Pastor Roger Noss officiating.

This year our Roast Beef Dinner will be drive through/take-out. We’ll have volunteers directing traffic through the center road in the Cemetery (the entrance off Prichard’s Road), exiting onto Oakdale, turning right up the hill into the upper parking lot at the church. Your orders will be placed from your vehicle, the order will be filled by our volunteers then be delivered to your vehicle. Simply drive away with your meals and ice cream.

The menu is Roast Beef, Mashed potatoes, gravy, mixed vegetable, cole slaw, baked beans, and marble cake. Price is $10.00 for adults, children 6 to 12 $5.00 for a smaller portion, and children under 6 will still be free.

We will also be selling our GREAT Ice Cream!!! This year we’ll be pre-packing the ice cream in quarts for $7.00 and pints for $4.00. Please do not bring your own containers.
