At Trinity, June began with celebrations! We were blessed to combine our monthly communion celebration with Graduate Sunday when we honored our high school graduates. Graduates participated in worship, served communion, and received gifts from Pastor Rob before greeting attendees on their way out. Ignite 2026 May be wrapped but we’re still enjoying the memories made and praying for each player who stepped onto our fields! This week, we'll share lessons and more from the event, so check back to see if we caught your kiddo!

Tuesday included a fun Minecraft themed marshmallow building challenge and a lesson about prayer. Players learned how prayer can cover us and anyone we pray for in God’s love, shielding us from bad thoughts and influences. Pastor Rob taught Minecraft Steve how to use prayer as a shield to deflect bad things that come up by turning to God. It was a lesson he and Steve needed as they took heavy (Nerf) fire from some nefarious teens!

Welcome to Trinity! All summer we're looking at where the Christian faith sometimes gets a bit twisted in today's culture--a biblical heresy--and how those things can draw us away from God when we actually think they're part of our faith. Up today: "Rich by Jesus" or what some know as "The Prosperity Gospel."

Faith is not a checklist that if you do these things and follow this plan you'll be blessed with abundant riches. Jesus never promised that in the Gospel but a lot of Christians today might say otherwise. Join us as we break down this modern-day heresy.

What's scarier than being chased by a Minecraft zombie on a soccer field? Our weather forecast! This evening's weather is tough to call so we're playing it safe and moving our final night of Ignite indoors. All players should report to Trinity UMC, 210 W. Main St., Hummelstown at 6 PM. WOW, that's a lot of kids! We had 110 total registrations for Ignite this year and love welcoming every player to our fields! We take A LOT of photos at Ignite to capture all the different moments that we love seeing! (AND to share them with you! ) From those tentative first day nervous smiles to the all-out soccer battles, it's wonderful seeing kiddos being friends, learning about Jesus, and sharing this experience. 📖 Does your day include daily Bible reading? If not, why? While we have a lot of fun at Ignite Soccer, our #1 GOOOAAALLL is to share Jesus with our players. Last night at our first day of our Minecraft-themed Ignite, Pastor Rob challenged our special guest, Minecraft Steve, and the kids to read their Bible more. He shared a visual of how a relationship with Jesus can help protect us from bad/dirty/negative throughts through the Holy Spirit. We can't wait to see what tonight brings! We'll have a whole lot more pix from Ignite coming. Be sure to stay tuned!

⚽️ 🥅 Tonight is our Ignite Soccer kickoff of a fun four days of learning, and we are EXCITED! Many thanks to our volunteer crew who set up at Alexander Park last night. And thank you to YOU, the many disciples holding this program in prayer. 🙏 May the students be engaged and excited to learn about Jesus, may our disciples be energized as they serve our community, and may the weather stay beautiful! Can’t wait to see everyone tonight!
