What a blessing to hear Pastor Jake Fry pulling double duty this morning with both a message from Daniel and an uplifting performance of "Praying Man."

Both reminded us of the importance of remaining faithful to God and spending daily time with Him in prayer. Daniel's unwavering devotion continues to be a powerful example for believers today.

We also enjoyed spending time with our church family, guests, and visitors as we worshiped together this morning.

Join us again this afternoon for Choir Practice at 4:00 and our Evening Service at 5:00 as we visit the Book of Colossians.

In the early 1900s, a troubled pastor wrote to Chicago’s Moody Bible Institute about his uncontrollable teenage son. After several letters, the school agreed to accept him.

That young man’s life soon changed forever after accepting Christ. Bill Newell later earned a doctorate, returned to teach at the institute… and one day between classes, wrote the words to the beloved hymn “At Calvary” on the back of an envelope.

This Sunday at Emmanuel Baptist Church Humboldt, we’ll be singing one of the great hymns born from a transformed life and the grace of God.
