A Hug Can Say What Words Cannot. ❤️

A hug can say, “I’m glad you’re here.”
A hug can say, “You’re not alone.”
A hug can say, “Welcome home.”

One of the beautiful things about church is that we’re more than a gathering—we’re a family. Every Sunday, people walk through our doors carrying victories, burdens, questions, and hopes. Sometimes the greatest ministry happens in a simple embrace, a moment of encouragement, or a reminder that someone cares.

🎣 Father’s Day Weekend Fishing Fellowship

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” – Psalm 133:1

There’s something special about time on the water—casting lines, sharing stories, laughing together, and building relationships that go deeper than the catch.

This Father’s Day weekend, the men and families of our church enjoyed an incredible day of fellowship, encouragement, and community. We’re grateful for every conversation, every memory made, and every reminder that life is better when we do it together.

🌱 GROWTH TAKES TIME 🌱

This morning, Minister Donnie Jackson reminded us of a truth our culture often forgets:

God is not in a hurry.

Even Jesus grew through a process.

📖 Luke 2:39–52

Big Idea: God intentionally forms people through a slow, structured, and faithful process.

Many of us want instant results, immediate breakthroughs, and overnight transformation. But God’s pattern is often different. He develops His people through faithful obedience, godly relationships, and consistent trust over time.

Four truths from today’s message:

✅ Growth is fostered through faithful instruction.
✅ Growth is strengthened within covenant community.
✅ Growth requires obedience under God-ordained authority.
✅ Growth is sustained through reflection and trust. What if the season you’re trying to rush through is the very season God is using to grow you? 🌱📖

❤️ M.A.T.E.S Marriage Small Group was incredible tonight!

Tonight, couples discussed practical ways to resolve conflict in marriage while learning how to strengthen communication, trust, and unity.

We also enjoyed interactive activities focused on:
🧱 Building a Strong Foundation
❤️ Edifying Your Mate

One of the highlights of the evening was seeing couples laugh together, encourage one another, and engage in meaningful conversations about God’s design for marriage.

Before leaving, every couple received a homework assignment:
📖 Review your Marriage Toolbox with your spouse and identify the tools God has already provided to help your marriage thrive.

“It’s not about me.”

Those four words run completely against the culture we live in.

In Mark 1:1-8, John the Baptist teaches us what true greatness looks like:

✅ Know who you are.
✅ Know who you are not.
✅ Point people to Jesus.

John understood his identity. He knew his assignment. He refused to make himself the center of the story. Instead, he spent his life pointing others to Christ.

Life is not about us. It’s about Jesus.
