Today at Elev8 Church, we were reminded that being COVERED isn’t just about what God does for us—it’s about where we choose to dwell.

Through Psalm 91, we learned that when we DWELL in the secret place, ABIDE in God’s presence, and remain under the SHADOW of the Almighty, we position ourselves in the place of His protection, power, and presence.

We learned that God is our REFUGE when danger is pursuing us, our FORTRESS when outside influences try to move us, and the One we can TRUST when everything around us feels uncertain.

And even when the enemy sets hidden traps, God sees what we cannot see. He is able to RESCUE us from the snare of the fowler and deliver us from deadly dangers.

The promise is not that we will never face trouble—the promise is that we will never face it without God.

Sunday’s message reminded us that protecting your values requires protecting your heart. ❤️‍🔥

The truth is, your heart can be damaged by more than just people. People can hurt your heart, but so can sin. And if we’re not careful, we can spend so much time guarding ourselves from what people might do that we leave our hearts completely exposed to what sin can do.

That’s why we have to make a decision about our values before temptation comes, before emotions take over, and before pressure shows up.

There are some things that may feel good in the moment but will pull us away from feeling God in our lives.

So this week, ask yourself:

What am I allowing into my heart that is challenging the values God has called me to live by?

Protect your heart.
Protect your convictions.
Protect your values.
And when you have to choose between feeling good and feeling God—CHOOSE GOD. 🙌🏾🔥

This Sunday we had the privilege of covering and sending off two of our High School graduates as they head to college.

What a special moment it was as our church family gathered around Kobe and Kirmon, praying God’s protection, wisdom, favor, and direction over this next chapter of their lives. While college will introduce new opportunities, challenges, and decisions, we believe they are not walking into this season alone—they are walking with the Lord.

Our prayer is that they remain grounded in their faith, bold in their convictions, and committed to honoring Christ wherever He leads them. May they excel academically, grow spiritually, build godly relationships, and become lights on their campuses.

Kobe & Kirmon, know that your Elev8 Church family loves you, believes in you, and is praying for you. Go make an impact for the Kingdom. We’re excited to see all that God will do through your lives.

What a Sunday at Elev8 Church! 🙌🏾🔥

This past Sunday, God met us in a powerful and unforgettable way. From the worship experience to the preached Word, His presence was undeniable. Hearts were challenged, minds were renewed, and we were reminded that the greatest battles in our relationships are often not around us—but within us.

A special thank you to Minister Tanisha Vinson for allowing God to use her to deliver a timely, transparent, and transformational message entitled:

“The Love Lockdown: Exposing the Enemies Within.” ❤️🔒

She challenged us to confront the hidden enemies that quietly damage our relationships with God and with one another:

🔹 The Enemy of Deception – Truth must replace every lie we believe and every mask we wear.

🔹 The Enemy of Ledger Keeping – Love doesn’t keep score. Freedom begins when we release offenses and choose forgiveness.

🔹 The Enemy of Self-Preservation – Healthy love requires surrender, vulnerability, and putting others before ourselves.

🔹 The Enemy of Indifference – Relationships don’t die overnight; they drift when we stop pursuing one another intentionally.

🔹 The Enemy of Fear – Fear imprisons, but God’s perfect love gives us the courage to trust, heal, and love again.

This wasn’t just a sermon—it was a divine invitation to let God expose what has been hidden so He can restore what has been broken.

Thank you, Mrs. Tanisha Vinson, for faithfully sharing the Word with wisdom, conviction, and grace. May the seeds planted continue to bear fruit in every heart.
