When the apostles were thrown in prison for preaching the gospel, God sent an angel to open the doors and told them to go right back to the temple and keep teaching. They did not hide. They did not stop. They obeyed God rather than men (Acts 5:29).

The religious leaders could not figure out how to stop something God was behind. Gamaliel said it best in Acts 5:38-39 -- if this work is of men, it will fail on its own, but if it is of God, no one can overthrow it.

That truth still stands today. You may not be able to change every heart you encounter, but you can stay faithful and trust that God gives the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6-7). His plans will not fail.

Come worship with us and be encouraged to keep going, even when the opposition is loud.

God has never broken a single promise. In Joshua 23, an aging Joshua stood before Israel and declared that not one word of what God had spoken had failed. Every battle fought, every enemy driven out, every inheritance received — all of it came through the faithfulness of God.

But abiding in that promise requires a choice. Joshua made it clear: love the Lord, hold fast to Him, and do not let the sins of yesterday take root in your life again. One man chasing a thousand is only possible when God is the one doing the fighting.

The question Joshua placed before Israel is the same one before us today. Who will you serve? The gods of yesterday or the God who has never failed? As Joshua declared, as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Come join us and be encouraged that God is still faithful to every covenant He has made with you.

Have you ever felt so discouraged you wanted to quit? Jeremiah did. Released from stocks, mocked daily, he cried out that he wished he had never been born. Yet even when he tried to walk away, God's word burned like fire in his bones and he could not stay silent.

That is the nature of God's call. He does not abandon you in your discouragement. He refocuses you on His plan. He reminded Jeremiah of a coming King of righteousness, showed him a vision of restoration, and gave him words of hope to pass on to captives in Babylon -- "I know the thoughts that I think toward you... thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11).

Jeremiah even bought a field in a destroyed land as an act of faith. Overcoming discouragement means choosing to act on the hope God gives you. Do not grow weary -- your season of reaping is coming (Galatians 6:9).

Three men. One impossible choice. A furnace heated seven times hotter than normal. But Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow.

Their response to King Nebuchadnezzar still echoes today: "Our God is able to deliver us... but even if He doesn't, we will NOT serve your gods." They didn't debate. They didn't compromise. They simply stood firm in obedience, and God met them in the fire with a fourth man who looked like the son of the gods.

Here's the powerful truth: when the world around us crumbles and the pressure intensifies, we serve a God who keeps us even in the midst of the flames. It only took three faithful people to redirect an entire nation. What could God do through your obedience today? You don't need great faith—just mustard seed-sized faith in a great God.

What's standing between you and God's calling on your life? King Saul had everything—anointing, position, and purpose—but he lost it all. Not because of his sin, but because of his refusal to truly repent.

Saul let insecurity drive his decisions. He disobeyed God's clear instructions, then shifted the blame to others. "The people did it," he said. Sound familiar? When we choose our comfort over God's commands, when we make excuses instead of repenting, we create a barrier between ourselves and the One who wants to use us powerfully.

Here's the truth from 1 Samuel 15:22—obedience is better than sacrifice. God can work through imperfect people like Jonah, Moses, and Peter. But He cannot work through those who refuse to acknowledge their need for Him. Don't let pride, fear, or blame-shifting keep you from your purpose. True repentance opens the door to God's power in your life.
