“Truth Gets Personal” Message from Lone Star Friends worship Easter Sunday 4-05-26

Hello! He is Risen!
I just wanted to remind everyone that the time is slightly different Easter morning. Fellowship breakfast is at 9 (carry in dinner style), and worship is at 10 rather than the usual 10:45.

John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die."

Wherever you find yourself celebrating Easter, perhaps the most important question you might ask is, what does Jesus rising from the dead mean to me?

As Jesus reminded Martha, that new life and freedom doesn't only come after death and at the end of the age. We can see part of God's glory in the here and now. We can have new life in His name, as we believe.

We had a close call with a fire in the ditch by the church. Big thank you to Alexis and the first responders who came to help, to Harley Brummet for driving by and calling it in, and Roger Cline, Garrot and Cooper Kilbourne, and pastor James for helping to beat the fire back until the fire trucks arrived! The fire came very near our neighbor Linda's house, and the wind was driving it right toward her house, the parsonage, and the church! I couldn't remember everyone's name, but thank you to some good neighbors, first responders, and ultimately to God for keeping the fire from taking off into the corn stocks and turning into something so much worse.
