Just a reminder, Sunday (August 30th) at 10:30 is Church in the Park. We are meeting in Hugoton, at the park with the pool, with 12 other churches.

Don't forget to bring your lawn chair, your appetite and a few friends along for a time of worship, fellowship, food and fun.

Pastor James of Lone Star Friends, and David Kang of the Hugoton Methodist Church will be speaking. Worship singing will be led by various leaders from our local churches. It is going to be amazing as ever.

Just a friendly reminder about VBS at Lonestar tomorrow the 18th from 10-3. The theme is " "Scavenger hunt for Jesus." Registration and snacks begin at 10:00 sharp. It is going to be a blast for all ages, and parents are welcome to stick around and join in the fun.

Dear Friends,
Our VBS theme this year is "Scavenger Hunt for Jesus", and we have been working hard on props, game boxes, and working through the details of creating our own program essentially from scratch. We will have skits, games, and of course some scavenger hunting... but the engaging point of it all is discovery or rediscovery of Jesus. This is an all age event, which means you can accompany your student on their journey to a degree, especially the little ones who may be doing something new for the first time. Please help spread the word, and consider bringing a friend along!

Today, we are remembering Charlie Harper, a member of Lone Star Friends Church who brought wisdom, laughter, a kind and gentle spirit and a steady strength to the church. HIs love and service to God and his church family will always remain a part of us. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at Lone Star. Let's take a minute to look back with a few pictures from across the years. I know some of you may have favorite pictures or stories to share. Feel free to do so!
