Due to the impending inclement weather forecasted for tomorrow (1/25/2026), the church service and Sunday School will be canceled. The Annual Congregational meeting will now be held on Sunday, February 1st following the service. Please plan to attend.

This Sunday, Nov. 23rd, our service will be at a special time of 10 am. Please join St. Matthew's as we celebrate Christ the King Sunday with a special joint service with St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hughestown, St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church Scranton and the Indonesian Lutheran Church of Scranton. Our Harvest Home dinner will follow the service and we will be collecting donations for Safety Net of Scranton. If you can't join us in person, the service will be livestreamed on this page.

Today at St. Peter’s, we had a beautiful service and an amazing potluck dinner following the service. We were joined by our friends from the Indonesian Lutheran Church in Scranton, St Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Scranton, and St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Scranton. The day was filled with faith, food, fellowship and fun. A big thank you to everyone who participated in the church service, everyone who made/brought a dish for the potluck, and everyone who who donated and helped pack school supplies. It truly was a special day at St. Peter’s.
