Summer of Service 2026 is officially underway, and we are grateful for what God is already doing.
Last year, Summer of Service opened the door to some incredible relationships, and this week we had the honor of returning to partner with the youth at the TX Dream Center. What started as a simple outreach opportunity is continuing to grow into discipleship. We got a call a month ago that went like this:
Them: Pastor Mike, we were wondering if your church could come teach Bible studies here in Monday nights to our young people - they need more than just life skills they need the word of God!
Pastor Mike: We would be honored to - is there a certain curriculum you want us to use?
Then: We trust you, teach what you want!
Us: *praise break!!!
Yesterday this happened:
Victoria Prieto, leader of our Summer of Service program, had the opportunity to teach a Bible study and spend time connecting with the young people there. Alongside her, Declan, Lorenzo, and Nathan jumped in and did what they do best — showing others how we do life together.
Pastor Mike helped set the tone for the evening, reminding us that ministry is not just about events… it is about investing in people and building the future of the Kingdom.
One of the greatest goals of Summer of Service is leadership development — raising up young people who know how to serve, lead, love people, and carry Jesus into every environment they walk into. Watching these students step into leadership reminds us why this matters so much.
We are thankful for the relationships being built, the doors God is opening, and every young person willing to serve.
If you are interested in getting your child connected to our Summer of Service 2026 program, please reach out to us. We would love to have them involved.
