Blessed Assembly Church of God was founded by its pastor and chartered in the State of Alabama in April, 1983. The Church is founded upon the Apostles’ Doctrine, namely: baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ by immersion in water and being filled with the Holy Ghost as given in Acts 2:38-39. It is made up of many ministries, each uniquely designed to minister to the Total Man - spirit, soul and body
. A “Fresh Fire” worship experience lingers in the worshipper’s spirit. Replete with high praise, singing and dancing, it is heavenly worship that prepares the people for the Word of God. Our pastor delivers the Word under a powerful anointing that is confirmed by miracles of healing and deliverance. The Church received its name in two phases. In its initial organizational meeting, the Holy Spirit inspired the first part of it -- BLESSED ASSEMBLY, which proclaims the perpetual favor and blessings this congregation enjoys. The additional name, “FRESH FIRE WORSHIP CENTER,” was given to the pastor while in prayer, and attests to the extraordinary visitation of God’s Spirit each time we worship. The Church will celebrate its 38th year of ministry in April 2021. The present location in Hueytown, Alabama is the Church’s 4th location. Beginning from a storefront building in Bessemer, Mobile Junction, to a commercial building in downtown Bessemer, we moved to an actual church building in Fairfield, Alabama in May 1990. On that same site in 2002, the Church erected and dedicated a new sanctuary that would seat 400. The er****on of this sanctuary provided space to open the R. Hudson Christian Academy, serving Grades K-8. The Academy opened its doors in August 2003 and welcomed its first students. Many of the students matriculating through the Academy have achieved test scores at Post High School (PHS) level on the SAT and have gone on to excel in high school and college. We are grateful for the impact the Academy has had on the students educationally and spiritually. May 2021, marked the completion of 18 years of excellence in education. The growth of the Academy caused the Church to look for an even larger facility able to accommodate both the School and the Church. In 2006, The Church purchased our present property located at 2709 North 19th Street in Hueytown, Alabama. The purchase of this property, with a sanctuary seating capacity of 1200 and separate building for the School, was an assurance to us that the Lord’s favor is definitely upon this Ministry.
