This Sunday, we’re starting a four-week series called “Healing What’s Within.” This series invites us into a deep, honest journey of inner healing by listening to three questions God asks in Genesis 3: “Where are you?”, “Who told you?”, and “Where have you taken your hunger?” These are not questions of accusation, but of invitation—God gently drawing us out of hiding, helping us name the voices that shape us, and leading us toward the places where true healing begins.
Drawing from Chuck DeGroat’s book titled Healing What’s Within: Coming Home to Yourself—and to God— When You’re Wounded, Weary, and Wandering, this series explores how our wounds, shame, and longings shape the way we live and relate to God. Rather than calling us to try harder or fix ourselves, the gospel invites us to slow down, tell the truth about what’s really going on beneath the surface, and allow Christ to meet us there with compassion. Over these four weeks, we’ll discover that healing begins not with striving, but with honest presence—and that God is already pursuing us, even in the places we’re most tempted to hide.
