Hey Greater Hudsonville Community👋! We are the Staff of Eastern Ottawa Young Life -South!!

As of October 1st Eastern Ottawa divided into 3 areas and EOYL South was born!! Our Staff team alongside our 30 volunteer leaders are excited to continue reaching kids in our community!

Who do you know that needs to get involved in Young Life in the Hudsonville area? Our amazing team loves meeting kids from Hudsonville High, Unity Christian, Riley Street Middle and Baldwin Street Middle!

T I M B E R W O L F • round ✌️

Our 6th and final camp trip of Wyldlife students from Hudsonville and Jenison arrived at Timberwolf this afternoon with a welcome celebration. Camp volunteers and work crew lined the sidewalk to cheer for around 500 students as they unloaded buses for no other reason than to celebrate their existence!

It didn’t take long for students to jump right into corn hole, zip lining, basketball and swimming. Street tacos for dinner and a cooks parade with bubbles and confetti cannons to the tune of “Be Our Guest.”

You can’t make this stuff up. It’s Young Life camp. It’s where kids are celebrated for simply being kids, and the program team, camp speaker, musicians, work crew, summer staff and all the other hoards of volunteers and camp staff absolutely delight in sharing the news that Jesus loves these kids. To death.

So as our 6th and final trip of this summer season kicks off we petition you to pray with us that kids would not just hear this message this week, but that it would pierce their hearts and they would know they are deeply loved by Jesus, the Savior of the world.

Pray for the teams that are serving these last two weeks. They are tired.

Pray for the clarity of the message of the camp speaker.

Pray for our leaders: Tyler, Hunter, Jacob, and Skyler as they connect with these kids and create safe discussion space in cabin time.

Pray for amazing encounters with Jesus!

Here we go again!!! Wyldlife girls from Baldwin Steet Middle and guys from Allendale departed today for the “best week of their lives” at Timber Wolf Lake - A Young Life Camp!

We believe in God’s power through prayer so will you pray with us over these next 🖐🏻 days as they encounter Jesus through intentionally planned out games, club talks, cabin times, free time, one on one chats with their leaders, family style meals and FUN!!!

Pray for our leaders Maddy, Livia, Clara, and Matt as they pour into the 6th-8th graders!!

Also pray for our EOYL staff and Regional staff and volunteers that are serving in summer staff and work crew roles during this session at Timberwolf!!

W I L D E R N E S S

We don’t miss a beat. Our Clearwater Cove students were fresh off the bus at 3am this morning with stories of profound encounters with Jesus and now 6:30am this group of Hudsonville High School seniors began their long trek west.

We continue to ask the LORD to move!

Pray with us as they drive to Wilderness Ranch - A Young Life Camp in Creede, Colorado. May they experience God as they hike the mountains July 30th- August 2nd.

•Pray for Kasey and Delaney our EO leaders. •Pray for the Wilderness guides they will soon meet.
•Pray for the hearts of these girls to know and experience the deep love of Jesus!

We are thanking God in advance for what he is about to do!

Students at CLEARWATER COVE are over half way through the week and from the looks of it they might not want to come home.

Can we blame them though? From suspending high overhead on the ropes course to surfing on the lake, or doing back flips off the high dive. How about cabin discussion, club, or group games?

Our leaders shared Kelsey Jenney spoke last night about sin and the cross of Jesus. It was a powerful experience.

Pray for these students as they finish their last few days at camp. May Jesus capture their hearts with his LOVE!
