This August a team from Jamestown Harbor served at Higher Ground Camp on Lake Louise, a ministry that supports single moms and their kids. Matt and Mandy Cousino served with the Higher Ground team, and they've reflected on this mission trip by sharing:
"Matt prayed asking God for an opportunity for us to serve together at our new home church, Jamestown Harbor. That very Sunday an announcement was made regarding the need for a work team for Higher Ground at Lake Louise. As Mandy attended the camp as a child and teen, and Matt was a former building contractor, we immediately decided this was the answer to the prayer.”
They described a few highlights of the week including: listening to the music and messages prepared for the campers as the team scraped and painted the program center, hearing a young camper/staff member share a bit of his story, serving together as a team and spending time in the evenings around a campfire.
We’re grateful for the Higher Ground team and their willingness to join in this Kingdom work together. ❤️
