Do we leave room in our plans for God to interrupt them?

Following Jesus means being prepared to let go of our own agendas and pay attention to the opportunities He puts in front of us. Sometimes, the unexpected moments become opportunities for God to work.

What would change if we asked God to make us bold instead of playing it safe?

Following Jesus means remaining faithful to Him even when it comes at a cost. May we trust the Holy Spirit to give us the courage to stand firm and make Jesus known.

As Chapel Pointe Church lives out our mission to multiply transformed followers of Jesus, we’re celebrating the Tilburt family’s next step in following God’s leading. This week, Stephen, Hannah, and their son, Chandler, are moving to Glastonbury, Connecticut, to serve alongside Pastor George Lim at The River Church!

Stephen’s sister Sarah, who attends another local church body, will also be making the move to serve in her own missional calling, a beautiful picture of the church working together for kingdom impact. The Tilburts will serve at The River Church for the next 2–3 years as they prepare for longer-term cross-cultural ministry.

We’re grateful for how God has faithfully led and provided for the Tilburts thus far, and we invite you to pray for their transition to Glastonbury. Here are three specific prayer requests from their family:

Guidance: That God would direct their steps as they seek to follow His will.

Their send-off: That family and friends would respond with praise and trust in God rather than fear, disappointment, or sadness.

Provision: That God would provide for the practical and logistical needs of their move, reminding them to depend on Him rather than themselves.

The truth of the gospel is worth standing for! 🙌🏽

Today, we looked at Stephen’s example in Acts 7 and how he faithfully proclaimed Jesus, even in the face of persecution. Because of the hope we have in Jesus, we can stand firm in our faith and extend forgiveness to those who persecute us.

This week, may our lives point others to the hope we have in Jesus!

Stephen stood before the council in Acts 7, knowing that speaking the truth about Jesus could cost him everything.

We can stand firm even when others reject what we believe, because Jesus Himself was rejected for our sake. And through His death and resurrection, we have a hope that no rejection can take away.

Worship, community, and putting faith into action!

During Byron Center Go Weekend, our high school students served families through our partnership with Countryside Elementary, prayed with those they served, and shared the hope of Jesus. We’re celebrating one student giving their life to Jesus and seven families served!

God is at work in West Michigan, and we’re excited to see our students continue to live on mission wherever He has placed them.

The gospel is going forth in Togo! 🇹🇬

During their time in West Africa, our team partnered with Nancy Berends and the ABWE team at Hospital Baptiste Biblique to share Jesus with hospital staff, support Bible college students, and expand Bible translation through radio ministry. We’re thankful for the opportunities God is providing for the name of Jesus to be known!

Please join us in praying for a 12-year-old boy in Togo who has been unconscious for several weeks. His family is preparing to bring him home, as doctors have no further treatment options.

Please pray for this boy and his family—for peace that only Jesus can bring, comfort in the midst of heartbreak, and for them to know they are not alone.

Missions is about more than simply visiting another country. It’s about sharing the hope of Jesus in both the joys and sorrows of life.

Will you join us in praying for lives to continue being transformed by gospel in Togo?
