We are loving all the traffic to our page today! Thank you to everyone that has offered our church words of love and support, but also to those that kindly contributed engagement even while disagreeing.
Theology has always been a topic that sparks discussion and debate, and thankfully that’s not ever going to change.

We don’t mind differences of opinion, but we don’t tolerate hateful or inappropriate comments - from anyone. They’ll be deleted.

We’re just here to practice what we preach. We preach that we are loved. We preach that Jesus said (and meant!) to love our neighbors. We preach that we’re all children of God, despite each and every one of us being flawed.

With that, please enjoy today’s Benediction from this morning’s service:

“Beloved, as we leave here with more questions than answers, remember that Jesus’ parables are designed to help us grow.
May we be unafraid to examine ourselves, being assured that God provides us grace to be imperfect and try again.
Let us commit to doing the tough work of cultivating fertile soil in our hearts, that we may bear the fruit of Jesus’ teachings in everything that we do.
Now may God go before you to guide you,
Behind you to support you,
Beside you to accompany you,
And within you to give you peace.
Amen.”

Also enjoy this puppy, that 100% of people will agree is adorable.

“Juneteenth, short for “June Nineteenth,” marks the day when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, in 1865 to take control of the state and ensure that all enslaved people be freed. The troops’ arrival came a full two and a half years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation.
Juneteenth honors the end to slavery in the United States and is considered the longest-running African American holiday. A federal holiday since 2021, Juneteenth occurs on Friday, June 19, in 2026.
Although Confederate General Robert E. Lee had surrendered at Appomattox Court House, Virginia, in April 1865, slavery had remained relatively intact in Texas. That is until U.S. Major General Gordon Granger stood on Texas soil and read General Orders No. 3: “The people of Texas are informed that, in accordance with a proclamation from the Executive of the United States, all slaves are free.”
