After several years of successful baby shower leadership, Linda and Kelley have decided to step down from this leadership role.
We are looking for 2 members who would be willing to take on this vital position. We hold 1-2 showers a year and begin meeting with the committee of 6-8 people in the 2 months leading up to the shower. This would most likely involve 1-2 planning sessions, a gift wrapping session and the shower itself. There is a flocknote already created for the Baby Shower Committee which makes it easy to assign different tasks. We also have supplies such as centerpieces and tablecloths we can use from previous showers. The shower committee creates an online registry, wraps presents for the shower, plans food/cake and hosts the shower along with the Companions.
We have a WWMIN member who has volunteered to have items shipped and stored at her house. The advertising committee does all the bulletin and social media announcements and the companions handle invitations to the families. So the remaining duties would be to create the Amazon list, do the wrapping and organize the showers duties amongst your committee. Leader Susan Lettieri would be happy to work with leadership on the Amazon list. Linda has also offered to train you and help with the transition.
We currently have a mom who is expecting twins and needs a babyshower at the end of March. We already have her list of items.
