So honored to gather together again for our weekly Encounter Worship Service @ NewSong Church in the beautiful Foothills community of Hudson, North Carolina! We are continuing a powerful new message series entitled “One Another-ing in Him” which entails a deeper study of the importance of the “one another” commands throughout the New Testament for believers in His Church / His Kingdom Tribe to honor and practice in our daily lives together! This coming Sunday we continue with Part 18 of this timely message series with our Bible study centering on how we are called / commanded to “honor one another” (Romans 12:9-10)! Honor is not as widely discussed and certainly not practiced as much as it should be in today’s culture. Dishonor & disrespect seems to often rule the day in our time, sadly because hearts have become more ungrateful as so many folks have chosen to journey down life’s paths without God, abandoning His holy ways which His Word teaches us. This week’s third segment on “Honoring One Another” we will be studying 📖 how “honor” is spiritually linked to our “innate value” bestowed upon every person who is hand-fashioned / made in the living Creator’s divine image through His loving hands (Genesis 1:26-27)! We pray our Biblical study of this newest “one another” command in our message series will serve to bless you, our NewSong family and friends and the many others who are / will be the recipients of our learning and practicing more the divine principle of “honoring one another!”

The critical importance of having and being an active part of Biblical community and effectively practicing / honoring the many “one another” commands given to us by the Lord for the mutual benefit as His Body / His Church cannot be overstated as it is so crucial to the effectiveness of the Kingdom work of His Church today. God uses our obedience to growing together in community as a beautiful witness to His love and glory before the watching world today. So I am always deeply and humbly honored to ask for your faithful prayers (Pastor David) and prayers for one another as together we continue our spiritual journey with the Holy Spirit in this new study adventure, drawing ever closer to Him and prayerfully to “one another!” ✝️♥️🫶🏻🙏🏻😇

We currently gather together for in-person worship at the Optimist Club in Hudson located at 183 Optimist Avenue. We also broadcast our entire worship service via LIVESTREAM which usually begins @ ~10am. If you happen to miss our service, it is available afterwards on our FaceBook page for 30-days when all LIVESTREAM videos are permanently removed and deleted per FaceBook’s policy which began in the Spring of 2025. We do have an archival website that we transfer all of our worship / teaching videos to so as to not lose any of God’s divine messages nor our Encounter Worship Services. Please continue praying for the victims, their families and all of the nation of Venuezuela as they continue recovery efforts from the twin devastating earthquakes in June 2026. Please uplift the same prayers for the people of Columbia who experienced a 7.4 earthquake this past week and for the people of Indonesia who experienced a horrific 7.7 earthquake yesterday. Please remember the victims and their families in the horrific flash flooding that took place last week in Nepal which destroyed numerous communities, infrastructure and claimed thousands of lives! Please cover rescue workers and aid that are already being sent into these hard hit areas in your daily prayers!

Please remember our servicemen and women, their families and our nation’s leaders in prayer in the on-going Operation Epic Fury (War) 🇺🇸 🇮🇱 in Iran 🇮🇷. Let’s continue to pray for an expeditious resolution of this dangerous war and His divine peace to reign over this region of the Middle East and throughout the world. 🙏🏻✝️

Please enjoin hearts in prayer with us for our Kingdom growth (both spiritually and numerically) and for the divine opportunity to secure a more permanent place to call our own mission home / base of ministry in the Hudson area. We currently meet at the Optmist Club in Hudson under a rental agreement for Sunday Worship and Wednesday evenings for our Bible Study (both in-person & by Zoom) & our Pursuers Student Ministry (every other week).

This coming Wednesday evening, September 9th, we will be starting Part 1 of Unit 2 of our newest Bible Study Series with one of the most anointed and renown Bible studies ever released - “Experiencing God” by the late Dr. Henry Blackaby & Claude Van King. This study has been used mightily of God over its 36+ years since first being released in 1990 - it has printed over 8+ million copies in English and it has been translated into over 80 languages and used by believers all around the world. Our Introduction / Launch session along with Pts 1 & 2 of Unit 1 the last three Wednesday evenings have been such a special blessing! 😇✝️🙌🏼 …G3!

One of our prayer-laden visions and vital need for NewSong Church is for the donation of a few acres of land in the Hudson community / area so that we could erect a simple multi-purpose metal building structure for use as our missional hub / worship center / ministry base. If you know of anyone who may have property and would like to discuss our God-led vision, please have them to reach out to us or share their contact information with us so that we might reach out to them. This coming Sunday is a treasured time in the faith life of NewSong Church. In addition to our quarterly fellowship meals that follow one of our Sunday Worship Services, we host an annual Sunday that is set aside for Worship, Baptisms followed by a church picnic. This Sunday we return to the Happy Valley Ruritan located across from Happy Valley School and adjacent to the Yadkin River where we conduct our baptisms. We will “try our best” to LIVESTREAM both our Worship Service and our precious baptisms to follow thereafter, and just prior to our church picnic. Should we have signal problems from that remote location, we will try to record both elements and post them on FaceBook and our VIMEO church page as soon as possible.

We would be honored for your prayers as we serve our fellow neighbors in our community a delicious meal this coming Saturday afternoon at our quarterly outreach, Room @ The Table, held on the 5th Saturdays at the host church, First Methodist Church of Lenoir. Each quarter when we host this outreach, we seek to rotate through our various ministries the leadership role of serving others. Tomorrow our Pursuers Student Ministry will take the servant leadership host position in this ministry and they will be assisted by several fellow members of the NewSong Faith family. We would be honored for your prayers as we seek to model before our neighbors / special guests God’s command to lovingly “serve one another.” (*1 Peter 4:10)
