Acts 1:6-11
Stepping Into the Gap

1. Even though Jesus made a way back to God, the world doesn't know that, so the world continues to sin and turn it's back on God, and then, instead fo stepping into the gap to help those without God, find God, the church turns it's back on the world.
2. Choice #1. We can keep looking up to heaven, toward that whcih is unseen and intangible, expecting Jesus to Do SOMETHING.
3. Choice #2. We can turn out eyes to our neighbor who is visible, reach out our hands to the circumstances of that neighbor that are tangible, step into the gap, and do something ourselves.
4. God is still looking for someone to:
*Rebuild what was broken.
*Intercede on behalf of other people.
*Call people back to God.
*Pray for their communities.
* Intercede for their churches.
*Speak truth in love.
*Fight for the vulnerable.
*Live with righteousness and integrity.
*Model Jesus to the next generation.

RESPONSIBLY IRRESPONSIBLE!
1. When we allow less important responsibilities to crowd out more important ones, then we are practicing irresponsible responsibility.
2. H was allowing less important responsibilities to get in the way of the greatest responsibility/opportunity of life: FOLLOWING JESUS!
3. Pursuing a God-ordained passion, no matter how crazy, is the more responsible thing you can do.
4. A God-ordained passion is what turns a career into a calling, and it gives us Jesus fever.
5. Half of pursuing Godly passions is praying like it depends on God. The other half is working like it depends on God.

Please join us for services at 9:30 am or 11:00 am. The graduate recognition will be taking place during the 9:30 service.

After the 9:30 am service, all are welcome to enjoy cake and breakfast in the basement.
