The good news is that our worth was never meant to be tied to our achievements. Jesus has already done what we could never do, and because of him, we can stop striving to prove ourselves and simply rest in God’s love.

Our worth isn’t something we have to earn. Jesus has already achieved for us.

What a meaningful weekend together at Christ Community Chapel!

This week, Pastor Jimmy reminded us that rest isn’t simply about doing more or doing less. It’s about what our lives are organized around. When we look to achievement, productivity, relationships, or other measures to tell us our worth, we’ll never find lasting rest. But Jesus invites us to come to him with our burdens and find rest in who he is.

We don’t have to earn his love or prove our worth. Because Jesus has already done everything necessary for us, we can come to him with open hands and trust that he is enough.

Don’t fight with a shadow of your spouse–and don’t do it with God either.

When disappointment leads us to assume God doesn’t care, we can distance ourselves from him based on fears that aren’t true. Remembering who God is helps us see him clearly, even when we don’t understand what he’s doing.
