Welcome, Pastor Samuel Ronicker!
We are excited to share some wonderful news with our church family and community: Sam Ronicker has been called to serve as our new pastor!
Sam comes to us following twenty years of service in the United States Air Force, from which he recently retired. Throughout those years, he developed a deep appreciation for service, leadership, and helping others—and those same qualities are an important part of what he brings to ministry.
Teaching is also a special passion for Sam. He has served as an adjunct professor and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Language and Religion as well as a Master of Divinity in Christian Apologetics. With his particular areas of interest being Theology and Apologetics, he looks forward to helping us grow deeper in our understanding of God's Word and our faith.
But there is more to Sam than his education and career!
He and his wife, Michelle, have two sons. Their youngest graduated from high school this past spring, beginning a new chapter for their family. The Ronickers enjoy spending time together in the Upper Peninsula, camping, and fishing. Sam also enjoys chess and photography, while Michelle's love of sewing has grown into an opportunity for her to be both a talented entrepreneur and teacher.
We are looking forward to getting to know Sam and Michelle, not simply as our pastor and his wife, but as friends and fellow members of our church family. We hope you'll take some time to introduce yourself, share a cup of coffee, ask about his Air Force experiences, or perhaps talk with him about theology, fishing, photography, or one of his many other interests!
Sam will preach his first sermon as our pastor on Sunday, October 11. We hope you will join us that morning as we officially welcome Sam and Michelle and begin this new chapter together.
As we look ahead, our church family does so with hope and excitement for what God has in store. We believe Sam's gifts for teaching, service, and communicating the truths of Scripture will be a blessing to our congregation. We also look forward to seeing how God will use him not only within our church, but as we continue seeking opportunities to serve and reach our community.
The future of our church belongs to God, and we are excited to walk into that future together learning, serving, growing, and sharing the love of Christ with one another and with our community.
