Pray, be courageous and share JESUS!
🚨Pastor Hills Emmanuel was abducted Friday while traveling from Jos to Bokkos in Plateau State, Nigeria, alongside Pastor Gabriel Joseph Dipak.
And while many of us debate Christianity from the comfort of our homes, there are believers around the world who are literally giving their lives for the name of Jesus.
According to reports, armed men blocked the Barkin Ladi-Bokkos road, stopped a minivan carrying nine people, and pulled the two pastors from the vehicle.
The next morning, Pastor Emmanuel’s body was found near the area where he had been taken.
He was a former Dunamis pastor and the founder of The Wonderful Grace of God Evangelical Ministry in Bokkos.
Pastor Dipak remained in captivity as of the latest reports, and his abductors had reportedly contacted his family.
That same night, several other attacks were reported across Plateau State, leaving more people dead and injured.
Stories like this should stop us in our tracks.
Sometimes I think about how easy it is for us here in America to become distracted, comfortable, or even embarrassed to openly live for Jesus.
Meanwhile, brothers and sisters in Christ in other parts of the world are worshiping, preaching, evangelizing, and refusing to abandon their faith while knowing it could cost them their freedom or even their lives.
These are people we should remember. People our children should hear about. People who should challenge us to ask ourselves:
What am I doing with the freedom God has given me?
Join us as we pray for Pastor Emmanuel’s family. Pray urgently for Pastor Gabriel Joseph Dipak and for his safe release.
Pray for the believers throughout Nigeria who continue following Christ in incredibly dangerous circumstances.
And then pray for ourselves.
Pray that God would wake up His church, give us courage, and get us back on mission.
We may never be asked to die for our faith today.
But we are absolutely called to LIVE for it today.
“Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.” Revelation 2:10
Keep praying for the persecuted church. 🙏
