⏳ The Brevity of Life by Jemarie Thomas
📖 Psalm 39:4 -- "Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered—how fleeting my life is."

Life passes more quickly than we realize. One day we're talking about school, dreams, and the future; before we know it, we're discussing health, grandchildren, and how fast the years have gone.

The Bible compares life to grass, flowers, and even a morning mist—here for a moment and then gone (Psalm 103:15-16; James 4:14). Yet this truth is not meant to discourage us. God never intended for us to remain forever in a world filled with pain, suffering, and death. He has promised something far better—eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Because our days are limited, Scripture urges us to live wisely: "Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom" (Psalm 90:12). True wisdom comes from God, grows through reverence for Him, and is nurtured by daily study of His Word.

The life of Solomon reminds us that wisdom is not something we achieve once and keep forever. When he drifted from God's instructions, he lost his fear of the Lord and made foolish choices. The same danger exists for us today.

Life is short. Eternity is forever. May we spend our days living in God's presence, under His authority, and for His glory, preparing for the day when there will be no more death, sorrow, pain, or tears.

"Sin has destroyed our peace. While self is unsubdued, we can find no rest. The masterful passions of the heart no human power can control. We are as helpless here as were the disciples to quiet the raging storm [Matthew 8:23-27]. But He who spoke peace to the billows of Galilee, has spoken the word of peace for every soul. However fierce the tempest, those who turn to Jesus ... will find deliverance. His grace ... quiets the strife of human passion, and in His love the heart is at rest."

👀 “Come and See” — John 1:43-46 / Pr. Yve Francis

In this powerful message, Pr. Yve Francis reminded us that knowing Jesus is not something we keep to ourselves. Like Philip inviting Nathanael, we are called to simply invite others: “Come and see.”

Faith is more than information — it’s an encounter with Jesus that transforms lives. When Jesus changes us, our kindness, service, patience, and love become the greatest sermon people will ever hear.

Through the synergy of Sabbath School, Personal Ministries, ACS (Adventist Community Services) combined with SNEC's TMI (Total Member Involvement) and WE CARE initiative, the church is working together to not only preach the gospel, but to SHOW Jesus in practical ways — food distribution, prayer, listening, serving, and caring for the community.

Hudson is filled with people searching for hope, carrying burdens, and wondering if God still cares. Every smile, invitation, and act of kindness carried out by our church family can become someone’s first step toward Jesus.

You don’t need to start with a Bible study. Start with a smile. Invite someone. Serve someone. Pray for someone.

If Jesus has been good to you, don’t keep it to yourself.
COME AND SEE what the Lord has done. 🙏

Will you take the opportunity to invite your family, friends and co-workers to the upcoming SNEC Camp Meeting? If so, please comment "COME AND SEE" below!

🌊🐤 FAITH THAT FLOATS 🐤🌊 / Romans 5:3-4 / Linda Colon

Life can feel overwhelming at times. People may appear to have everything together while quietly struggling just to stay afloat.

In John 16:33, Jesus said:
“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Storms come unexpectedly — fear, stress, heartbreak, loss, uncertainty. Like Peter in Matthew 14, it’s easy to focus on the wind and waves instead of the One who walks on water.

But even when Peter began to sink, Jesus immediately reached out and caught him.

That’s the hope of faith:
Jesus holds His people up even in the middle of the storm.

Romans 5:3-4 reminds us that suffering produces perseverance, character, and hope. God uses the hard seasons to strengthen faith, not destroy it.

Sometimes life squeezes people so hard that bitterness, fear, and frustration spill out. That’s why Proverbs 4:23 says to guard the heart above all else. Staying connected to Christ keeps hearts anchored instead of drowning in fear.

Isaiah 43:2 gives this promise:
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you… they shall not overwhelm you.”

The storm may be real.
The fire may feel intense.
But with Jesus, there is no drowning.

Even when faith feels weak…
Even when life feels heavy…
Grace still holds on.

Faith floats because Jesus never lets go. 💛

No matter what storms you may be facing, God gives us a faith that rises above the waves. Come be refreshed, uplifted, and reminded that hope in Christ keeps us afloat.

Bring your family, invite a friend, and come expecting a blessing!
We can’t wait to worship with you! 🙏✨

👑 You Are Chosen / Jeremiah 1:5 / Evelyn Santana

Too often, when life gets hard, we erase the dreams, calling, and purpose God placed in our hearts. Fear, failure, criticism, delay, and insecurity make us question what Heaven already declared over us.

But throughout the Bible, God used ordinary people for extraordinary purposes:

• Jeremiah felt unqualified, but God had already ordained him
• Esther was chosen “for such a time as this”
• Joseph’s pain became part of God’s greater plan
• Moses made excuses, yet God still called him
• Samuel heard God’s voice as a child

Being chosen does not mean life will be easy — it means God will be with us through the process.

“God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power...” (2 Timothy 1:7)

We were challenged to stop comparing ourselves to others, stop believing the lies of the enemy, and stop erasing the blueprint God designed for our lives.

You are not misplaced.
You are positioned.
Chosen for this time, this season, this generation.

The world needs your light. Don’t dim it. ✨
