I join in prayer with my brother and fellow yokeman, Pastor Williams...
Almighty God,
We honor, worship and praise you in all your glory and splendor!!!
We are broken, appalled and filled with righteous indignation! Our spirits are vexed and our hearts are torn as we cry out to you today because of the shooting of 25 year old Ahmaud Arbery.
We grieve and lament with his family that racism is still running rampant, as this young black man was pursued, shot, and murdered while running.
Comfort and wrap your tender loving arms around his dear Mother in her inexplicable pain and mourning!
Lord, we pray as Kingdom Citizens of all ethnicities, in the Pulpit, the Pew and in the Public Square stand up and speak up for justice for Mr. Arbery and his family!
Thank you Lord!
We ask all of these things in Jesus’ name!
Amen!

Father,
Please deliver our country from the cultural conditioning that has made some feel that a young black man jogging culturally stereotyped is reason enough to take his life. I especially pray for those of us who call you “Our Father,” Forgive us for pre-judging and misjudging one another, as “all have sinned and fall short of your glory.” Forgive those of us who are you children no matter our skin color of allowing this world and the god of this world to frame our thoughts, attitudes and opinions towards others. Lead us not into temptation and deliver us from further prejudice.
