Day of Love and Friendship-Dia de Amistad
The World tells us love is a feeling, rush of emotions, something that happens to us. But scripture shows a Different Kind of Love. "We love because He first loved us" (1 John 4:19) God's love is action, choice, sacrifice. Not just emotion.
Serving in Honduras, I've had the privilege of witnessing God's love break through in powerful ways.
This past year, 3 adult ladies were invited by other Deaf members to join our church family. When you've experienced God's love, you can't help but share it. Even though each one had a little different history, they all repeatedly signed with big smiles- GOD, LOVE, MUCH. YOU, ME, LOVE, MUCH. These ladies are now regular members of our Deaf church family.
One of the first verses memorized in our classes is "God loved us and sent His Son, Jesus" (1 John 4:10) Action, Choice, Sacrifice.
1 Corinthians 13:13 "Now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love."
Today, may you know and be reminded of the love of our Lord for you.
