As a new school year begins, let's remember to keep our schools in prayer.

We encourage our church family to pray daily for our students, teachers, administrators, school staff, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, custodians, and everyone who helps make our schools a safe place to learn and grow.

Pray that God will watch over and protect them each day. Pray for wisdom for our teachers, strength for our staff, safety for our bus drivers, and guidance for our students as they face new opportunities and challenges throughout the year.

Our schools need more than our support. They need our prayers.

As the school year begins, let's commit to faithfully lifting them up before the Lord every day.

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16

May His favor be upon you and your families, and may His hand of protection guide and keep you throughout this school year.

This truth doesn’t mean there will never be unpleasant or difficult times, but as long as we make God our Lord and refuge in everything that happens to us, God will work for our good. Even when hardships come, God is there and will see you through.

Ask God for clarity when things seem confusing. When you feel overwhelmed, believe for His peace to quiet every anxious place.

Come on out and join us tomorrow for our water baptism and picnic. We’ll have the hotdogs and the chips so bring a side, a drink and a lawn chair. Looking forward to a great day of celebrating new life in Jesus with our church family and friends!!

Hi GLC family and friends!
For the month of August & September we’ll be collecting school supplies for Operation Christmas Child boxes. So many sales are going on right now - spiral notebooks (Walmart .35), crayons (Target and Walmart), pencils and pens.
Fun erasers and pencil sharpeners are great too!

School supplies are just as important as the fun things we pack in the OCC boxes, especially the spiral notebooks and pencils/pens, as these enable a child to attend school!

If everyone could bring in one or two of these items we’ll have enough for our packing party in November.

So many people are going through some tough things right now. Just know that God loves you and is for you.
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these?
If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Romans 8:31.
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12
