Tonight at Damascus Tribe, we put in the work and then got into the Word.

Workout: Reaper led us through an AMRAP built around strength, grit, and pushing ourselves.

Devo: Ephesians 2:8–9 — grace is a gift. We don’t earn it. Jesus paid the price for it.

So we asked ourselves:

Where do I need to show more grace?
Does my faith produce works, or is my faith dead?
Am I serving out of gratitude—or pride?

We work because we’re grateful for what Christ has already done.

Tribal. Rugged. Real.

Another solid Tribe around the fire!

Cowboy led us through a grinder!

12 Gauge challenged us from Proverbs 3:5–6.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (ESV)

Every one of us is tempted to rely on ourselves and think, “I’ve got this.” But following Christ means laying down our own understanding and trusting Him, even when the path isn’t clear.

We were also grateful to welcome two new men to tribe!

Iron sharpens iron.

Damascus Tribe, thankful for every man who’s stepped into the circle.

I’ll be straight with you, this morning tested me.

Negative temps. Snow everywhere. The kind of morning where staying in bed makes sense and nobody would question it. I thought about sleepin in. I thought about hitting snooze. I thought about how easy it would be to just not say anything.

But that’s not who we’re called to be.

As a Tribe Leader, and just as a man, I don’t get to lead from comfort. I don’t get to talk about Men’s Alliance and then disappear when it’s hard. I’ve got to live it. I’ve got to lead from the front.

So I got up. And other Tribesmen got up.

We showed up in the cold and the dark. Shoveled out the fire pit. Cleared the benches. Dug out the tires. Got the fire going. Got our bodies moving. Then we circled up, opened Scripture, real world talk and sharpened one another.

In negative degree weather.

That’s Men’s Alliance.

It’s not about numbers. What matters is men refusing isolation and choosing to show up anyway. That’s where sharpening happens.

Proverbs 27:17

That doesn’t happen from the comfort of your bed.

We talked on 1 Corinthians 16:13.

That hits different when everything in you wants the easy way out.

This morning wasn’t about being tough. It was about being faithful. About being the kind of man God calls us to be, that’s leaders, husbands, fathers, brothers, all by the grace of Jesus.

Get up. Get out. Get around the fire. Lead from the front.
