The Church of God (Anderson, Indiana) is a worldwide movement of people seeking to fulfill God’s desire for the church. The pioneers of the Church of God hoped to restore a more biblical understanding and practice of what it means to be the church. We are committed to studying the Word of God and faithfully living it out. We are committed to being the body of Christ in spirit, word, and deed. We c

There are a lot of things going on tomorrow at Chestnut Ridge Church. Tomorrow is College Team Sunday - wear your favorite team’s jersey or colors. This is also a holiday weekend – Labor Day. We will remember the events and the victims of 9/11from 25 years ago. There will be a special reception following the Morning Service in our Fellowship Hall to honor a special person. And most importantly, we will be worshiping our God and Father and Creator. No matter how busy we might be, we will never be too busy to pause and worship, and praise, and express our love and gratitude, and give Him the glory that rightfully belongs to Him! Our Morning Worship Service begins at 10:45 a.m. You can also watch us live on YouTube and Facebook. Come and rest from your labors. Come to the One whose yoke is easy and His burden is light. “What The World Needs Now Is Love” was a song written in 1965. Its message then is the same message that we need today. What this world needs today more than anything else is love – not just any love – but the love of God flowing from the heart of every believer out to all the world around. Only then will the world be changed. Only then will the world be saved. Love is the identifying mark of every believer. Jesus said, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Tomorrow my message is entitled “Love Like God.” Our Morning Service begins at 10:45 a.m. You can also catch us on YouTube and Facebook. “Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.” See you at Church!!!

Jesus told His disciples that He would build His Church. At that time, there was no Church. In fact, the disciples probably didn’t even know what a Church was or would be. Then, on the Day of Pentecost, the Church was born and Jesus has been building His Church ever since. The Church isn’t a building – the building is the place where the Church meets – or maybe it meets somewhere else – a school – a banquet hall – a park. The Church is people – Jesus is building His Church with people who He is growing and developing and maturing. We are the Church – so go and “Be The Church.” Our Morning Worship Service begins at 10:45 a.m. You can also catch our live stream on YouTube and Facebook. Tomorrow, our focus is going to be on baptism. That was the focus of John the Baptist. That was the focus of Jesus. That was the focus of the early Church – “Repent and be baptized.” My current Sermon Series is entitled – “This One Thing I Do!” The one thing that I will encourage you to do through tomorrow’s message is to “Be Baptized.” Baptism doesn’t save – but it does identify you as a believer and committed disciple of Jesus Christ.
