The Hoyt Cemetery has been the final resting place for a number of veterans and their family members since November 14, 1910.

People gathered at the Hoyt Cemetery on Monday, May 26, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. to honor the men and women who died while serving our country.

Pastor, Derrel Herde, from the Wiggins Community Church, officiated the service, which was followed by a gun salute, provided by members of the Wiggins American Legion Post 76.

Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude. It is important for future generations to continue to honor those who served, so that their legacies are never forgotten...
