The Rev. Limberth Fernandez Coronado, president of the Evangelical Lutheran Christian Church of Bolivia, addressed the convention in Spanish following its vote endorsing fellowship, with a translator repeating his words in English for the delegates: “All glory be to the Lord of the universal church. It is a wonderful foretaste of that glorious day when the whole church will gather to praise our Lord.”

From elections and floor committee reports to resolutions and convention discussions, Monday was a full day at the 69th Regular Convention of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.

The other day we were talking about podcasts to listen to that are produced by our synod and her pastors. Another good one is the long form podcast on the line. After each day of the convention they have put together a summary of what has taken place. Each video is a 10-15 minute summary of the 8-hours of work done each day. If you go to the synod’s YouTube channel you can watch the live streams from each day. But each stream is 4 hours and most days have two sessions so it’s 8 hours of content. if you have the time you can see the inter workings of our synod and walking together. If you don’t have 8 hours to give the summaries are where it is at. Below you will find the links for each day’s summary by “On the Line” podcast.

International guests were welcomed, fellowship with the Evangelical Lutheran Christian Church of Bolivia was recognized, and the unity of confession the LCMS shares with Lutheran Mission - Australia. Delegates adopted resolutions from Floor Committees 6, 10 and 11.

Fifty-five children from the first cohort of the “Sing, Pray and Keep His Ways” project participated in the Opening Divine Service of the 69th Regular Convention of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) on July 18. Watch this video to hear from several of the children.
