People from all walks and stages of life call Union Church home as they grow in grace and in the knowledge of God. We are a safe and welcoming community for the broken and suffering. Join us for Nacho Average Community Night, a fun and flavorful afternoon of fellowship, food, and summer fun!

We’ll gather at the Brighton Recreation Area at 5210 Bishop Lake Rd in Brighton at the Sandhill Shelter in the Day Use Shelter Area on Friday, July 10th from 6–9 PM for a potluck-style nacho bar, so be sure to sign up to bring your favorite topping, tortilla chips, or dessert to share.

Our shelter area has access to the lake, so come ready to relax, connect, and enjoy the afternoon together. Don’t forget to bring towels, sunscreen, and chairs to make the most of your time!

We live in a culture that says avoid pain at all costs. But Scripture tells a different story. God actually uses pain to shape us. Not because He enjoys it, but because He loves you enough to grow you through it.

It’s easy to focus on what we can do for God, but Scripture keeps bringing us back to who we are becoming.

In 1 Timothy 3, the qualifications for deacons aren’t about talent or charisma. They’re about character. Because in God’s church, who you are always matters more than what you can do.

This is true for leaders and it’s true for all of us.
