Bingo was a successful fundraiser for Schencks Cemetery! Thanks to your generosity and support, we raised enough money to purchase 100 wreaths.

There are more than 300 veterans who will be honored on December 19, 2026, with a wreath placed on their graves.

Thank you to everyone who supported the fundraiser. Your kindness helps us honor the service and sacrifice of our veterans. 🇺🇸

Cleaning of Veteran Grave Stones
POC: Hallowed Graves, Dave Shaw "Kato", 814-470-2519, dfshaw1960©yahoo.com

Cemeteries of Schenck's, Neill/ Union, and Oak Ridge. FYI: The same cemeteries are being sponsored for Wreaths Across America this Dec 19, 2026.. Approximately 650 stones to be cleaned.
Cleaning will take place in June, July, and September (ahead of colder weather - the cleaning agent requires that it be above 45 degrees for a consistent period of time).
• Schedule of cleanings as follows:
o 7/11 & 7/18 at Schenck's (382) (approximately 12 persons assisted on July 11th... would welcome more on July 18th- weather pending)

Hallowed Graves and the Milesburg Organization Group (MOG) are teaming together to organize the grave stone cleanings (ahead of Wreaths Across America Day). We are seeking community members' help.
• Volunteers needed for those dates to:
• spraying stones with cleaner (not as much kneeling),
• scrubbing the stones (more physical effort),
• rinsing with water after cleaning (not as much kneeling)
• General help of filling sprayer bottles, wiping stones with dry rags after cleaning, and/or prepping the area around the stone for cleaning (e.g. high grass out of the way, or temporarily moving personal decor out of the way for spraying cleaner)

The specific cleaning agent and proper scrub brushes that Hallowed Graves are as follows. The Milesburg Organization Group and Hallowed Graves (teaming together to have the stones cleaned in preparation for Wreaths Across America Day) are seeking donations to purchase the following:
• D/2 Biological Solutions (Approx 5 gal cleans 100 stones)
• Equals our need for cleaning the three (3) cemeteries above of six (6) 5gal. 'containers (we already have two (2) 5-gal containers leftover from last year's 'donations)
• Cost can range from $210 to $275 depending on where purchased, shipping costs, etc.
• Can be purchased easily at places like Walmart or directly from D/2 (probably easiest online purchase with delivery to the store (for p/u) and no shipping would be Walmart)
• You can make a donation of/for the D/2 either way below:
o hallowed Graves is requesting direct purchase from donating organizations, not a monetary donation for him to purchase.
