As I read this, I felt the Holy Spirit confirm every line as though I wrote it from His breath:

"As a pastor, clarity matters. I will not beg people to come to church. The church grows through conviction, not pressure. Jesus invited people to follow. He did not chase crowds when commitment cost something.

I will not water down the gospel to fill seats. The message of Scripture carries weight. It confronts sin. It calls for repentance. It offers grace that transforms. When the message changes to avoid discomfort, the power weakens. Studies on church health show that congregations grounded in clear doctrine often experience deeper discipleship even if growth looks slower.

I will not apologize for preaching the Word of God. Truth can offend because it challenges pride and preference. Scripture describes itself as living and active. That activity exposes hearts. My responsibility is faithfulness to the text, not control over reactions.

This approach shapes how I lead. It keeps the focus on obedience. It resists the pressure to perform. It protects the integrity of the mission. People may leave. Others may lean in. God handles the results.

You should consider what you expect from church leadership. Ask whether you value comfort or conviction? Ask whether you want truth or preference affirmed? Growth requires honesty.

You should also examine how you respond to Scripture. When something challenges you, pause. Ask what God may be shaping in you. Lean into discomfort instead of avoiding it.

You should support leaders who preach faithfully. Pray for courage and clarity. Encourage integrity over popularity.

The gospel does not need marketing tricks. It needs proclamation. When truth leads, transformation follows."

I did not find the author's name, however, I know the Spirit behind it.

I stand by these words.

Pastor John.
