Hello SMCBC Family & Friends,
To God be all the glory for what He has done and is yet about to do. I’m humbled and honored to accept the call to serve as the official pastor of Second Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. I recognize that this is not merely an appointment, but a divine assignment, and I am grateful for the privilege of under shepherding this great congregation.
To our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, from whom all blessings flow, thank You for Your grace, mercy, and faithfulness throughout my journey of pastoring these last 14 years, and for this new assignment at SMCBC. Without You, I could do nothing.
To the associate pastor, the officers, and members of this church, thank you for your confidence, your prayers, and your warm welcome. Thank you for entrusting me with the responsibility of leading this congregation. I look forward to laboring alongside each of you as we seek to glorify God, preach His Word, make disciples, and serve our community with love and compassion.
To my family, thank you for your unwavering love, sacrifices, encouragement, and countless prayers. Your support has strengthened me through every season of ministry, and I could not stand here today without you.
To the ministers, pastors, church leaders, visiting churches, friends, and guests who have come from near and far to share in this joyful occasion, thank you for your presence, your fellowship, and your words of encouragement. Your attendance has made this day even more meaningful.
A very special thank you to my beautiful wife Alison, our associate pastor Reverend Arthur Johnson and his wife Sister Carlus Johnson, Bishop Theodis Cochran, Reverend Anthony Allen, Reverend Bobby and Sister Kisha King, Reverend Leonard and Sister Sharon Harrel, Reverend Charles Barrow, Brother Rondye and Sister Ateia Pitts, Deacon Norman and Sister Stacie Shropshire, Sister Amicha Chatman, Brother Darrell King, Sister Rencis Johnson, Sister Lakisha Stewart, Mother Gloria Wilbert, Minister Carolyn Shields, Sister Amanda King, Brother Hillary Hayward, Sister Amanda Jones, Sister J’Asia Bovia, Sister Chakita Bovia, Sister Tangier Jones, my mother, my mother in law, and to all of my in laws.
I also want to express sincere appreciation to everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this installation service possible. Whether you served in planning, decorating, music, hospitality, media, or any other capacity, your efforts have not gone unnoticed. May God richly bless you for your labor of love.
As we begin this new chapter together, I ask for your continued prayers. Let us remain united in faith, steadfast in love, and committed to the mission Christ has given His church. Together, with God’s guidance, I believe our greatest days of ministry are still ahead.
Thank you once again for your love, your kindness, and your support. May the Lord bless you, keep you, and continue to shine His favor upon each of you.
