Strokes….
Is stroke on the rise ? Yes especially in younger people between the age of 18 and 44 . Stroke prevalence increased by 8% in America from 2012 to 2022 and increased in younger adults by 14% . Women and men between the age of 40 and 70 ,strokes increased by 16% . In African Americans strokes increased by at least 8% and Hispanics its 15% . Although stroke rates are increasing ,it's still a small percentage among younger people but can affect those younger folks if high blood pressure and diabetes is present .Risk of strokes are up worldwide and so we must be educated on knowing what can cause strokes and how we can prevent it .since 2006 ,chances of getting a stroke have increased by 50% world wide while 12million new cases occur each year .what can cause strokes ?(1) Blocking of blood flow to the brain or bleeding into the tissue of the brain .(2) High blood pressure and blood vessel disease can also cause strokes . As a stroke survivor, the feeling is not good and so we all must try and keep the vessels clean and strong while preventing carotid artery dissection and diabetes.
