She spent years serving God in ministry while secretly falling apart inside. May we remember what Memorial Day is about🤍🇺🇸
Our celebrations are because of all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms and liberties.

All of us are beneficiaries of the many sacrifices made, prices paid, and foundations laid for us to build upon.

Jesus set the greatest example for us and in His words,
“Greater love has no man than this: that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). And following the Lord’s example, there are brave men and women who daily lay their lives down for their neighbors, their community, their country. 🙏

We honor and remember each of them this Memorial Day. And as we do, we continue to lift up those who are serving our nation even today on foreign soil and at home. We lift up those in the military as well as first responders. And we are thankful for all who are serving them each day bringing hope and healing! 🙌🕊️

In a world filled with noise, division, and uncertainty, God has already given His people the weapons we need to stand strong - worship and His Word. Worship is more than a song; it is spiritual warfare that pushes back darkness and invites God to go before us. His Word is more than pages on paper; it is living, powerful, and a lamp that brings clarity to every uncertain path.

💡🙌 When authentic worship meets a hunger for Scripture, hearts are awakened, lives are realigned, and hope is restored.

MAY 20: JOIN US FOR OUR NEXT LIVE ZOOM CALL!

As a speaker, mentor, and entrepreneur, JOHN BENJAMIN JONES connects with audiences by bringing a wry humor to heavy topics. Organizations and individuals alike have been positively impacted by John’s message, gained over a 31-year career as a first responder and military veteran.

John is a retired Senior Federal Air Marshal. With a total of 31 years of service, Mr. Jones began his career as a United States Navy Hospital Corpsman (FMF), spending much of his time assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines at Camp Pendleton CA, where he served with the Selective Target Acquisition (STA) team and Raider Company. During this tenure, he engaged in combat operations in Somalia.

Following his military service, Mr. Jones began his law enforcement career with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department in Omaha NE, followed by positions with the Veterans Affairs Police and Federal Air Marshal Service (FAMS).

For the duration of his time with FAMS, Mr. Jones was assigned as a Federal Agent, working domestic and international counter-terrorism-related missions out of the Los Angeles Field Office. Over the course of his FAMS career, he deployed on countless international missions, logging 4,000,000 air miles while conducting Top Secret (TS) high-level security-related missions worldwide. He was assigned to the Training Division, where he was responsible for all aspects of in-service tactical training, fi****ms training, fighting techniques, and more. But it was his specialty in traumatic medicine that led him to serve as the division lead instructor for medical training for active-duty Federal Air Marshals on mission status.

John retired as a Senior Federal Air Marshal in 2023, has been a financial professional, is a counselor-in-training, and is the published author of A Higher Calling: A Biblical Guide for First Responders, Military, and Veterans.

However, John’s greatest achievement is his marriage to Emily, raising their six children, and enjoying time with their 16 grandchildren.

AN INVITATION FROM DOUG STRINGER: "MEET ME AT THE WELL"

From Houston to the four corners of the globe...

The Church is at a fork in the road, our nation at a Crossroads.

Doug Stringer invites you to a gathering on Thursday, May 21, at Nations House of Prayer in Houston: “Meet Me at the Well.”

This will be a time to come together in person as we continue unpacking what the Lord is saying in this hour and seeking Him for clarity, direction, and response.

May 21 this year falls on Shavuot 5786 on the Hebrew calendar. This day is known to many as Pentecost—the day when the Holy Spirit was poured out on those gathered in Jerusalem as they sought the Lord. Traditionally, Christians recognize this on what we call Pentecost Sunday.

This event is free and open to the public. However, seating is limited so we need your RSVP:

"Rain or shine, our outreach team is committed to meeting needs across the community as we partner with local churches and ministries to serve families throughout our city,” Lisa Stringer said.

Recently, five pallets of donated goods arrived at the container site, and volunteers gathered to receive, sort, and distribute them along with additional boxes of clothing and non-perishable items.

“It rained on and off — mostly on! — for the four hours we served,” Lisa shared. “Days like these keep us on our knees. We pray for the day the Lord will provide a ministry warehouse for outreach distributions. But even in the pouring rain, our volunteers kept the joy of the Lord as their strength while loading and unloading supplies.”

Two of the churches receiving donations had community outreaches scheduled that same weekend, so the items couldn’t wait to be stored away for another day. Volunteers worked quickly to sort and deliver everything where it was needed most.

House shoes were distributed to seniors in the community. Home goods helped furnish a house for a family moving into a home with almost nothing. Clothing and other essentials were prepared for hundreds of people expected to attend local outreach events over the weekend.

By the end of the day, Lisa said the team went home “soaked but with full hearts, knowing the assignment was fulfilled.”

As the work wrapped up, the heavy downpour finally faded into a light drizzle — almost unnoticed after hours of battling blinding rain. Still, the team kept serving.

Will you join us in praying for God’s provision of a warehouse in North Houston where the team can safely receive, store, and distribute gifts in kind?

Lisa added, “We are making a great impact, but we believe we can increase our reach and keep our team healthy as the Lord provides shade during the summer months and warmth during the cold months.”
